1 /5 Sheeds L: I had what they consider “An Annual” appointment, but It did not feel like an annual appointment at all! The provider Nicole Mathew came into the appointment unprofessional with a dress on and a hoodie with the hospital name on it. She kept asking me what I came in here for and I told her an annual for you to check me. She asked what test I wanted. I really didn’t know. I’m from out of state and the doctor usually tells me all the test I need. When I asked if she was going to physically check me she said “oh yeah” then proceeds to listen to my heart and my lungs then puts 2 fingers on my stomach and sent me on my way! It was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a provider!

5 /5 Darlene Sanchez: I have had the opportunity to see multiple physicians at this location. All of them have taken the time to listen to my concerns and ordered tests as needed to aid in diagnosing my ailments. Today I was attended by Dr Feller. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is very friendly. Maelyn was the MA who took me back, again, great listener.All of their staff are efficient and welcoming. I am so glad they are located conveniently by my home.

1 /5 Paul Garrow: No longer recommended. Longtime patient but left UF family medicine because it has become a bureaucracy of its own. Another layer of bloat between making insurance payments and receiving actual care. Our Doctor there left & I’m not far behind.

Jorge Villaverde: The entire ER crew were outstanding! I had a nasty deep gash on my hand that required sutures. I was tended to immediately with no delays. They multi tasked very well as a team and I had the most pleasant and quick visit to an ER in my entire life. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and EFFICIENT! They also called the next day to follow up and see how I was doing. I can go on but I want to keep this short and sweet.

Bluegrass: One of the counselors put me on speaker when I wanted to share something very painful, thereby breaching confidentiality. Obviously I knew it was because I could hear my voice. She straight up denied it with an attitude and said “you are not on speaker MA’AM.” Not reaching out to you all anymore but I guess that’s what you get for free service.

North Florida Regional Medical Center Obgyn - Gainesville

TA Carolina: Recently had major surgery here. The physician and his staff as well as the OR staff were absolutely phenomenal. Once I got to my room for a 4 day stay, things changed. The staff were awful, inattentive, and MIA. Had a loved one not been with me the entire time, I would have been in bad shape. There was a highlight to my stay however. Mr Walter Furlow with the nutrition department was very caring. He visited me each day and made sure all of my dietary restrictions were conformed to. He was helpful and went out of his way to make everything as good as possible. I asked for a way to recognize Mr Furlow, but the hospital only allows recognition for nursing staff. So, Walter, here is the best I could do. Thank you, sir, for making a difficult time easier on me.

Bev jea: Neeka Akhaven, MD, is extraordinary. She is the best Doctor at UF HEALTH. She has taken great care of my mother’s health and is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It is rare to find a doctor who cares for her patients, goes the extra mile, and does not give up on them. Highly recommend becoming her patient. I will be forever grateful for her. She is so good that there is a waitlist. IF POSSIBLE, GET ON THAT LIST!

elizabeth mclaurin: Incredible experience! All needs for rehab are provided everyday. The case manager, docs, therapists, nurses, assistants, nutritionists, custodians are highly skilled & responsive in a positive team fashion. 3 hrs of therapy is tailored to the patient & scheduled in 45 min sessions thruout the day with rests periods in between. Everyone (no matter their role) notices and is excited & encouraging for your hard work & progress. The meals are good with lots of options to select from every day.The facility is very clean with a great gym, and equipment & all rooms are private. Your health is monitored closely 24/7 -unobtrusively- so you feel safe & well cared for ! If you need a rehab center, you would be fortunate to go here.

HCA Florida Senior Healthcare Center at Springhill - Gainesville

Phillip Pinon: Even if you are insured, this is an HCA outpost and they will charge you a non-refundable, out-of-pocket "facility fee" for each visit ($120). They give you a form saying that you "may" have to pay this fee, without even giving the amount. Spent an hour on the phone with HCA, no one could confirm whether I would be charged or not. I made the mistake of trusting the last employee I talked to who said that I would not. 2 weeks later I got the bill (FYI, there is an article in the 3-26-24 New York Times about this scam).

Kelli Wright: I have to give my GYN Oncologist a high five as they are very proficient and get you right in and dynose you and describe what sort of medical issues youre having in a way that you can easily understand. Im grateful for Dr. Daylene Ripley for getting me set up for my recent robotic surgery August 7,2024 I had a full hysterectomy with little or no side effects or complications. Also all the staff at her office are very kind and helpful and call you with upcoming appointments.
