Jorge Villaverde: The entire ER crew were outstanding! I had a nasty deep gash on my hand that required sutures. I was tended to immediately with no delays. They multi tasked very well as a team and I had the most pleasant and quick visit to an ER in my entire life. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and EFFICIENT! They also called the next day to follow up and see how I was doing. I can go on but I want to keep this short and sweet.
Brandi B: Dr. Monsour and Dr. Yale are the best! Ive been to see them with lots of questions and issues, and they take the time to explain their diagnoses and courses of treatment thoroughly. They have accommodated me when I unexpectedly ran late, staying way past quitting time. Ive been very impressed by and happy with the whole UF Health system!
TA Carolina: Recently had major surgery here. The physician and his staff as well as the OR staff were absolutely phenomenal. Once I got to my room for a 4 day stay, things changed. The staff were awful, inattentive, and MIA. Had a loved one not been with me the entire time, I would have been in bad shape. There was a highlight to my stay however. Mr Walter Furlow with the nutrition department was very caring. He visited me each day and made sure all of my dietary restrictions were conformed to. He was helpful and went out of his way to make everything as good as possible. I asked for a way to recognize Mr Furlow, but the hospital only allows recognition for nursing staff. So, Walter, here is the best I could do. Thank you, sir, for making a difficult time easier on me.
Bev jea: Neeka Akhaven, MD, is extraordinary. She is the best Doctor at UF HEALTH. She has taken great care of my mother’s health and is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It is rare to find a doctor who cares for her patients, goes the extra mile, and does not give up on them. Highly recommend becoming her patient. I will be forever grateful for her. She is so good that there is a waitlist. IF POSSIBLE, GET ON THAT LIST!
elizabeth mclaurin: Incredible experience! All needs for rehab are provided everyday. The case manager, docs, therapists, nurses, assistants, nutritionists, custodians are highly skilled & responsive in a positive team fashion. 3 hrs of therapy is tailored to the patient & scheduled in 45 min sessions thruout the day with rests periods in between. Everyone (no matter their role) notices and is excited & encouraging for your hard work & progress. The meals are good with lots of options to select from every day.The facility is very clean with a great gym, and equipment & all rooms are private. Your health is monitored closely 24/7 -unobtrusively- so you feel safe & well cared for ! If you need a rehab center, you would be fortunate to go here.
Phillip Pinon: Even if you are insured, this is an HCA outpost and they will charge you a non-refundable, out-of-pocket "facility fee" for each visit ($120). They give you a form saying that you "may" have to pay this fee, without even giving the amount. Spent an hour on the phone with HCA, no one could confirm whether I would be charged or not. I made the mistake of trusting the last employee I talked to who said that I would not. 2 weeks later I got the bill (FYI, there is an article in the 3-26-24 New York Times about this scam).
