5 /5 Brad Vale: Beautiful view. Tide was out. The water was smooth as glass. Saw the sandbar off to the right just off the point. Im planning a kayak fishing trip up Shepherd Springs Creek in March. We tried to hike there last Friday but we were turned back. Ended up following Forest Service Road 209 until it dead ended at Shepherd Springs Creek. The last picture is near the Cathedral of the Palms.

4 /5 Erim Yanik, Ph.D.: I wouldnt call it a beach. It is more like a hideout or a camping ground (assuming no permit required). The "beach" is very tiny and doesnt span. There is also a small ruin of a building with graffiti etc. so I will be careful after sunset. If you are into fishing and willing to walk about a mile to the West, there is a perfect fishing spot. You cant drive there.

5 /5 gordon devoss: Wakulla Beach is a really cool spot and worth checking out. No real beach (kinda muddy) but this is true Florida coastal sawgrass estuary with palm hammocks. Long dirt road that can get muddy but always passable. Plenty of room to park and hang out. Highly recommend.

Wakulla Station Trailhead Park - Crawfordville

Paul Meyers: Our first 20 mile bike trip on our E-bikes. Super flat and smooth. Was impressed with benches and picnic tables along the trail. On top of that restrooms! And not porta potties either. This trail is a Jewell! We couldn’t ask for more except there were these pesky deer flies at this on spot.

Wakulla River Park - St Marks

Megan Davis: I celebrated my sons first birthday here and it was a wonderful place to do it. The scenery is beautiful and there is an amazing playground and swings and benches everywhere. They have an archway right at the top of the hill in front of the water to get really cute pictures there. Its a stunning place and well worth a visit with the kids or a place to celebrate birthdays or even a wedding with the beautiful and huge oaks and again the scenery is beautiful. The tide was out when I took these pictures but normally when its up to covers those two bottom, big steps. The also allow people to fish for scallops but there is a type of license you need in order to do it. There are informational signs posted everywhere. Oh and the big pavilion does have electricity with the ability to turn on the lights of the building when it starts to get darker and plugs to use for blow up bounce houses or just charging your phone or use the back wall as a screen and plug in a projector and have a movie date there by the water with the family. This place offers you the freedom to get creative and it appeals to every age. Go check it out and have fun!

Chautauqua Vineyards & Winery - Defuniak Springs

SOBIs Hobbies: Awesome place! Super friendly staff and very well maintained facility. We truly enjoyed our visit here. They have a dedicated wine tasting room where you can choose your desired wine(s) to taste from the provided wine list. They even had various types of grape juices for children to taste as well. That really was a nice touch. Our kids really loved their grape juices. There are plenty of accessories, gifts and other local farm products at their storefront as well should you like to shop. And their prices were very reasonable. It truly was a great experience! We will be definitely coming back here again soon.

Lake Stanley Park - Defuniak Springs

Michelle Alessio: Pretty blahhh and oftentimes a place where unaccompanied minors who shouldnt be there alone (according to their maturity level), hang out... but its a lot nicer than it used to be. Good little boat ramp and lake to go tubing on. Nice place for a quick dip on a hot day. There are a few pavilions to enjoy lunch under but Ive found they are usually pretty dirty or already occupied by said unaccompanied minors hanging out at them causing a ruckus. Beware of the geese and poop, also for glass in the water.

Christmas Reflections - Defuniak Springs

Casey Snyder: Beautiful display of lights around the entire lake. You can park nearby and walk in free of charge, or you can drive around the lake at $5.00 per person in your vehicle over the age of 5. We have not been in several years. This time, there was a Starbucks right off of I10, which was an added bonus! Dogs are welcome as well.

Chipley Park - Defuniak Springs

Mark Tuttle: Nice park for a walk. It includes a lake with a path around the lake that is about a mile long. There is a swimming area that is open in the summer. The lake includes docks but no fish.

Seacrest Wolf Preserve - Chipley

margaret caruso: A visit at the Seacrest Wolf Preserve turned out to be more than I could imagine. The staff gave my husband & I the complete background on Seacrest & the preserve beginning & how it has developed. They are completely self funded. Any contributions are greatly appreciated. My favorite was a wolf named Maverick who lived up to his name. These are not pets but residents of the preserve taken care of by knowledgeable loving staff & volunteers. Look them up & set a date for a visit. Well worth it. A memory to last a lifetime.

Prospect Park Zoo - Brooklyn

Rithika Iyer: Cute little zoo tucked away in a corner of Prospect Park in Brooklyn where you can easily spend a couple of hours enjoying the animals. The main attractions are the sea lions in the central courtyard that love performing for visitors at feedings times, and a troop of Hamadryas Baboons. There are also a host of smaller animals in the buildings, an Aviary, as well as a kid-friendly Barn (goats, sheep, cows, pigs, alpacas) and a nice little Trail featuring a wetland with migratory waterfowl and animals like the red pandas, dingoes and emus. Youll likely spot a peacock or three roaming free around the zoo while youre around. They have clean restrooms and a water refilling station working year round, and a little souvenir store where you can also buy snacks and soft drinks. (this review is based on multiple visits)
