1 /5 Gene Floyd: Nasty people there. I was coming back from Miami and only had a couple of hours left as dawn approached. I figured Id pull over someplace safe and take a nap before I killed somebody. I looked for a church off the road because Ive always thought of churches as safe spaces.
I had barely drifted off when some old boy in a pickup truck pulled up and starts yelling at me because I was on private property. I told him I was tired and needed to rest before I caused a wreck and he told me to get out of there before he called the cops so I left. Luckily between the catnap I did get and the adrenaline I made it home safely, but no thanks to him.
