1 /5 satavia brown: I’ve attempted to sell items at the Tallahassee Plato’s Closet twice, and both times the majority of my clothing was declined. Many pieces were freshly washed, in excellent condition, and several still had original tags. I was informed that some items had slight staining and others were not styles that would sell.
While I understand resale stores must follow trends and inventory needs, I was surprised that new items and higher-end brands (including Michael Kors shoes) were not accepted. The experience left me unclear on what specific criteria are being used.
I would recommend asking detailed questions about current buying standards before bringing in items, as acceptance appears to be very selective.
