1 /5 Cassandra Melendez: I shop here every once in a while but needed to make my way in because my mother in law bought my daughter some boots that were the wrong size. Had the boots & the receipt with me in a Publix plastic shopping bag along with my small wallet & keys which seamed the easiest cause when I pulled in I realized I did not have my stroller with me to put my daughter in. But knew I was going to be quick so didn’t see the need to bring in her whole diaper bag if I was just do a quick exchange. So decided it was easiest to hold her in one hand & the plastic bag in another. As I am looking at which boots to exchange for on the far left side of the store an associate who comes to me and tells me she needs my bag. She was not rude in any way but usually when someone says they need your bag they tell you why and I just assumed they could see the boots in there for the exchange and wanted to make it convenient for me. So as I am trying to give her the boots and keep my bag that would still just have the keys and wallet since I had no pockets or anywhere on my body to put them cause I was holding my daughter. I hear from the manager call over say no we need the whole bag, tell her she need to hold her keys and wallet. So then I have to ask why they need the bag instead of the reason being told to me already and was told they just don’t allow outside bags in the store. No ma’am, not my care or my problem. I needed it to just at least hold my keys & wallet. Clearly the store manager who was there, “Mrs. T” could not have a care in the world of my situation. Clearly Mrs. T is not a mother and if she is, she should be ashamed to call herself one and I find that as someone who has worked in customer service for over 15 years very poor customer service from a manager at that! Do better rainbow on who you hire. I’ll just give these boots to someone in need instead of every having to step foot in there ever again.
