1 /5 Brooke S: Would give it 0 stars if I could. When I dropped off my clothes, they did not mention in detail their store policy of getting rid of the clothes that they do not want to sell from you. They told me they would look through my things, and let me know what they would purchase in an hour or so, and I told them I would come back. They do have you mark on a paper if you would like to donate or keep the items, but it was very unclear if these items were the items that they were taking and would not be able to sell after a specified period, or if they were items that they did not want after their first inspection.
I marked “donate,” thinking that this meant they would donate the items that they could not sell (as they made their pricing structure very confusing, stating a % of the price that they take and then give you, but making no indication of at what point this price is determined — say, after the sale takes place, or before the item goes on the rack). I definitely should have clarified, but thought that my next statement (below) made it quite clear what my expectations were.
I gave them 2 bags stuffed full of items, and even specifically asked if they took designer items, to which the girl behind the counter replied “not typically.” I said in reply “ok, well just look through the items and after your evaluation let me know if you’ll take any.” She didn’t say anything different, so I looked through the store, and seeing absolutely nothing worth a dime, left.
When they texted me that the clothes were ready to be sold, I went to the store to see what they wanted to purchase. They offered like $2 or something per item, and “got rid” of everything else, including my designer items. I asked them where they went. The girl behind the counter stated that everything marked as “donate” gets thrown in the back and discarded at the end of each day. I asked if the items were no longer in the building, to which she replied that they were not.
Reviews are not my thing, but if I could warn anyone not to sell their clothes here, I would.
