Top Rated 15 University in Pensacola, FL - A Smart Choice for the Future part 2

Brittany Downs Very difficult getting any kind of help with admissions. They put me through to the wrong office several times. Then told me that I needed to call a number on the website (already called that’s how I got you) will not help me with my transcripts even though the website says that they will import them for you if u live in Florida. Not very helpful at all.

Mel The staff in the library are very friendly especially the only male librarian with a long hair. The support they have for veterans is impeccable. I was sad when the retired navy advisor Kevin Kropp left but Mr. Tilden is doing an amazing job as well. I did not put 5 stars all the way because of my bad experience with one advisor. Not mentioning his name but this retired Air Force set up an appointment with me before the start of semester. When I called him that day he left his phone at home and his wife answered it. After she gave me his office number, I called him and he told me to call him back after an hour. I called after an hour many times but he never picked up and he did not even respond on my emails. Two of the core values of the AF are Service Before Self and Excellence in all we do but I did not get that from him.

Steve Maddox Very concerned to hear about your board members views on women not pursuing higher education and becoming mothers instead. What will this mean for the policies you’ll be putting forward in regards to women’s admissions and acceptance into programs? We were planning on sending our daughter here, but now I’m not so sure…..

SchaffnerMatt Though most of the faculty have been excellent, the processes at this university rely on students continuing to pay year after year waiting for the university to run dozens of checks on documents for approval. I have spent thousands of dollars at UWF just to wait. The institution is severely understaffed and unorganized. If you are planning to get a graduate degree here, I would urge you to consider your timeframe; your time here will, at some point, be wasted.

Zoe Tucker I enjoyed my college experience at UWF. Pros: The campus is beautiful, the facilities are clean and pretty, and there are lots of sidewalks. The gym is nice. There also many great places to run, like the trails and the track! There is also a full disc golf course that anyone can come play for free! All of the professors Ive had have been great. Theyre very professional and you can tell they love teaching and care for their students. Great option for local students who want a small university and a good education. Cons: Im a commuter student, so parking is tough for many of classes. I have to park very far away and pay over $50 for a parking pass every semester. Certain areas of the commons and the library dont have a strong Wi-Fi connection, which is strange since those areas attract a lot of students who do homework online. It is also required for all students to have an advising appointment every semester to simply sign up for classes. I find that to be a bit unnecessary unless you declare a double major or minor or decide to change majors. I can understand having one per school year, but every semester seems a little overkill for a lot of students.

Grayson Berry Forget about highschool, dual enrollment at Charger Academy PSC is where its at. My kid is graduating with almost all requirements for an AA after just one year (plus some AP credits). Weirdos are welcomed with open arms. I honestly cant recommend this place highly enough.

Daichi.Litchi Its nice to do homework in the building and have your professor right across from you to help you out when you need it. The library only has tutoring limited to general education courses to my knowledge. So, tutoring for classes such as Thermal Fluid Systems and Statics is only available in this building.

Cady Wageman My name is kelsey and I like every thing about this school. The teachers are nice most kids are to. They teach you what you need to no and show you how to act. Anyways this school rocks.

Melanie Capaldo A nice outdoor area for PCC staff and students to enjoy. Has walking trails, kayaks, paddle boards, pavilions, picnic tables, etc. Not open to the public.

Kathleen Copen Everyone here was very welcoming & helpful. I didnt set up an appointment AND they were shorthanded, but they still managed to get me in & assist me in a timely manner. It was my first time going there & was not told on the phone prior to me arriving that Id need to park in one of the main parking areas then walk to the building, so I circled around & found one by chance. Otherwise, they have tagged/reserved parking & plenty of disabled parking near the building, which is great. They have entrances on all sides of the building and all four can be used, so you cant go wrong. Watch for speed limit on campus, it changes & there are pedestrians so be cautious. I recommend looking at a campus map prior to your arrival so you can plan where to park (they also have maps to give out.) They have a nice little lounge area, free coffee, use of computers & printing & a quiet, small study room for when you need to do homework. There are couple of computers & plugs for your laptop. Super nice staff!

Caldwell Zac “Zee” Classrooms are a nice size. The building is clean. They also have tables instead of desks which is nice for a bigger person like me.

DJ Porter Great place. My daughter wanted take a computer programming class and I found a free one here. The instructors are amazing spend a lot of time with the children. After the experience Ive had here; I wouldve paid for the free class.
