ellissa carlough One of the worst colleges in florida. There is no communication whatsoever. Many of the advisors and workers are lazy, rude, and clearly have no idea what they’re doing. It is so unbelievably frustrating. I have dealt with so many problems already, sent out so many emails, and I’m lucky to get a response from a robot for help. A response from a real time person? Oh forget it. Even going to the campus you’ll leave with more questions than you started. Not to mention the software they use is horrendous and extremely confusing. Good luck. This is the closest college to me and the only one I can afford even with federal aid, and I can’t wait until I graduate.

Mia Imagine being PREGNANT & HOMELESS while attending Mary’s Shelter of the Treasure Coast and being forced to attend school on a HOMELESS grant - because if not, you’d be thrown out onto the street, PREGNANT AND HOMELESS. Imagine taking only 2 online classes & then giving birth completely ALONE (because you have 0 family nor friends) to a HANDICAPPED infant WHO CANNOT BREATHE & IS HELICOPTERED 2 HRS AWAY to a specialized nicu… ….. imagine having to fight with insurance companies, nurses, doctors, & specialists ON TOP OF fighting for your roof More than 40hrs a week because Mary’s Home’s above tax bracket NONmoms are constantly threatening to kick you out for not allowing them to sell your heartbreaking story to make THEM money ……. imagine having a Floridian order of protection because your abuser is getting out of jail & having to stay in the county you are homeless in. imagine moving extremely far away And then having a stranger claim you owe $140 to their oh so amazing community college when this whole time, you’ve been visiting doctor after doctor after doctor for your handicapped child’s literal life. Imagine ALSO fighting tooth and nail slaving to keep a roof over your single parent with absolutely NO family besides your handicapped baby’s head….. miraculously perfecting your credit……. and this lovely ‘INDIAN RIVER STATE college’ stalks you just to threaten you to pay them $140 or they’re ruining your credit….. ^^^^THIS^^^^ is what INDIAN RIVER STATE COLLEGE stands for. Shame on IRSC - Are you sure you even belong in Martin County????? Don’t go to this dead end, cruel hearted “school”. UF has a much more amazing, affordable ‘online’ curriculum anyway.

Alleigh Craddock This college is great, perfect for a college freshman. Excellent professors such as Dr. Smigelski and Muller at this campus. If you take time to be invested in studies, there’s no reason a student here wouldn’t be successful. Thank you IRSC
