Fitness & Friends with Dr. Bob Ruano I really enjoy my visits at Dr. Nossa’s office. Everyone knows you by name and are always happy to see you. The office is beautiful, the hygienists are talented and they provide tremendous value with their care. I highly recommend them!

Maddy Per the website, "For some, paying for dental care is the most stressful part of their visit, but with us, we’re going to change that." My experience with this office was incredibly stressful. I was charged $400+ for a 27 minute appointment that did not even entail a cleaning. I was only told after the appointment, at that point I was demanded to pay $400+, that my insurance was not accepted. Dr. Nossa and the clincial staff were great, however, his office does not look out for patients or make expectations clear regarding insurance or payment.

My current situation was exaggerated by a pushy, just wanting to retire dentist, which I discovered half into one of my previous disastrous care. I appreciate Dr. Nossas approach to corrective care.

Robert Mermer Here is why should choose Van Dyke Dentistry. Specifically, why you should choose to accept dental care from Dr. Tyler Smayda and talk to Ms. Gloria to start your treatment program. 1) He communicates well. Hes a busy guy, as are all dentists. But if you have severe dental anxiety and need to talk through your expectations, concerns, and/or desires, you can simply say "I have a question about moving forward" or something similar. If you do that, he will stop whatever it is hes doing and converse with you. This will, in my experience, substantially decrease dental anxiety. NOTE: You may not get the answer you want. But he will talk to you as a peer, not a nameless mouth-cadaver. The takeaway: Dr. Smayda recognizes you as a human being who deserves to take an active part in your treatment. Hes the expert, but he will accommodate your needs. 2) Every hygienist and technician has the perfect bedside manner for those of us with dental anxiety. I REALLY needed my partner to come into the treatment room to relax me, and I knew it might get in their way. Did they say no? No. They did not. Did they express their frustration that I was asking to allow a non-patient, non-professional into the treatment room? No. They did not. Did they welcome my partner into the room to calm me down AND ask if it was OK if they asked him to leave? Yes. They did. I feel awful that I made the hygienists job more difficult. But they made it seem like it was nothing. . . They put me before their own workflow (again, sorry about that!). 3) Gloria. Oh, sweet Gloria, the receptionist/office magician/gods gift to those of us lucky enough to have a dental PPO. She patiently talked me through the accommodations I need as a hard-of-hearing, extremely anxious (about dental work), needy patient. . . And she ensured all of my accommodations were met. I hadnt successfully completed a dental visit from 2019 through 2025 because of my dental anxiety and the inability of clinics to accommodate my anxiety. Now, Im willing to go in ONCE A WEEK! Gloria and Dr. Tyler Smayda changed that. If theyre still accepting new patients, I urge you to get an appointment now.

Jean Wigham Out of town tourist who needed an emergency appointment to treat an abscess. Office opened at 8 am Monday. I walked in with request for services. Completed new patient documents. Seen promptly by dental staff. As expected X-rays and photo of suspected area. Dentist explained my option, which was extraction of tooth was not restorable. Procedure professionally completed with efficient team work. Outstanding application of topical and injection of Novacaine agents. Discharge instructions detailed. Fantastic experience, professional team work, appropriate fees, and patient centered focus. Based on this experience, very pleased customer who would support this dental office for one time dental visit.

Rebecca White Dr Hambrook performed oral surgery on me about one month ago. He and his staff were extremely accommodating, professional, and fun. I laughed a lot with them before I went under IV sedation. I havent had any issues with my surgical site or anything and I would highly recommend Dr Hambrook at this office if youre in need!

Ilene Abraham Please dont go to Dr Ely they did a filling for me and after the pain medication and I was home I had bad pain for a few days and when I called to come in to get it looked at she wouldnt see me and I had to go to the ER and have three medications prescribed to me and she refused to see me and said go to her friend for a root canal and tried to lie about not getting paid from the insurance and asked for a extra $350 dollars after getting paid and I called my insurance to find out that the girl working didnt know what she was doing and she no longer worked there and now my new dentist office said I dont need a root canal that Dr Ely was a lie and none of the people who were there patients have anything good to say about going to her but bad experience there so please your mouth might get messed up badly because they just want to make money anyway they can from lies about your teeth just straight up robbery I cant believe a Dr would act like this its very disappointed

Jane Hamby Terrible staff communication even with explicit written details on their paperwork well in advance of appointment. To make matters worse, Im about 2 hours away from Gainesville and am 100% dependent on a mobility scooter for getting around. My husband and I arrived for what we thought was a consultation appointment on March 20th to determine a plan for multiple oral issues I am experiencing. When the DDS came in to see me, she was more interested in the allergic reactions I experience from medications and some foods like shellfish that include anaphylaxis episodes upon occasion. She asked why my Dentist didnt include information in his referral of the recent experience in his office while taking care of a filling. We had no answer and the conversation wasnt at all what we expected. For some reason she felt compelled to "educate me" on the types of allergic reactions and when she asked if we took photos during an episode, my husband just shook his head in disbelief and we both realized we were not in a good place and told her we were leaving. While exiting the room, she said we only do extractions here which was not the impression given by staff making the appointment. All total, over 5 hours of our time was wasted as well as the $158.00 fee paid upon arrival...for what, we have no clue. Several days following this experience, we got in touch with one of UFs Patient Advocates and only hope she has steered us in the right direction this time for a professional evaluation. Having left a message on April 11th and again today May 1st for scheduling to get in touch with us, we remain in a holding pattern for someone to return our call(s) as dental issues continue.

Celyssia I had 4 wisdom teeth removed here yesterday. Im normally a very anxious patient with bad experiences from other dentists, but not here! I felt no pain with the IV sedation, and remember nothing of the procedure (it took only about 20-25 minutes). Im on antibiotics and a painkiller and feel amazing my second day, even with slight soreness! They caught my infection in time before it got worse. The holes and stitches I have left are very minimal and arent bleeding too much, they look very clean. The staff and dentists were very attentive, compassionate and nice. I paid exactly what my dental estimates were and it was very affordable compared to other dentists in the Ocala area (another dentist wanted to overcharge me for extra procedures that I didnt need to have to remove my wisdoms!) Overall, a really fantastic, comforting experience and I will go back for future dental work!

Damon Erfan Ghetmiri I always have a great experience here, from front desk people to my whole care team! Erika, my hygienist is so friendly, patient, and does a fantastic job. Dr Andrew Corsaro is super friendly and nice, and explains the situation, and procedure in details. Overall very great. You can get a voucher from front desk for free parking, right across the street! Also, don’t take this mistaken for student practice! In faculty practice you get professional dentist.

Kristen Burns I have been going to the UF faculty dental practice for about four years, and I have only had outstanding experiences here. Everyone has been kind, considerate, professional, and I have received excellent dental work. I am surprised to read some of the negative reviews because this has been the best dental facility Ive ever gone to.

Stephanie “Holaa_Paolaa” Would not recommend them ever. Was seeing Dolce for 6 years for ortho. During that time, he didn’t notice he killed the root of a tooth which Caused an infection that went untreated for years and ate away at my jaw bone causing bone loss larger than 10mm so now I need bone graft surgery. Reis was unprofessional and didn’t take my concerns serious. He is either dishonest or can’t read an X-ray right as he’s the one that said I had a “small infection” that is actually a BIG infection. I took his treatment plan to three different dentists who all questioned why he is wanting to do a build up as opposed to a crown on a tooth that needs a root canal. Mind you, he didn’t even realize I’m missing bone. After 6 years of braces with dolce, I was left with a slight gap in the front that I never had before. When I expressed my concern, it was disregarded by both dentists - reís even laughed at me because he said it was a “small gap”. Obviously not small enough if food gets stuck between my front two teeth. Thankfully my new dentist listens to my concerns and makes me part of the planning. Sucks to hear I might need braces again after six years with them on with dolce. UF definitely put the ‘practice’ in ‘faculty and practice.’

Scott Howard I avoided the Dentist for many years and finally had an immediate need for dentures. I consulted with Parent Dental Group and Dr. Richard Parent and staff. He and his staff, Madison, Kelly and Lisa worked up a treatment plan for me. The process began last summer with 11 extractions which were painless. The care I received was nothing but the best. It was a summer long process fitting new dentures. His patience and dedication to my care was above all standards and I highly recommend Dr. Parent and the Parent Dental Group for anyone needing a dentist who exceeds both in professionalism and humanity. Super nice people!, dedicated and professional. I walk in the door and say "hey bud" and we get to the chair and take care of business. My new dentures where perfect in size, shape, color and fit and they look fantastic! Dr Parent extended to me additional appointments to ensure the best fit and quality. Sweat Life Parent Dental Group and Dr. Rick Parent are hands down the best in town! The staff is amazing! They are friendly and seem to know every patient by name. The office is always clean and appointments always begin on time. Dr. Parents expertise and knowledge is second to none. He takes his time to examine and explain everything he does and never recommends unnecessary procedures or work. My wife and I have been seeing him for 12 years and he now sees both of our kids as well. Thank you Parent Dental for keeping our familys dental health in tip-top shape. You guys are awesome!

Heather Osteen I called the morning of and confirmed my appointment time. We arrived 30 minutes early as requested by the staff. As I was signing in the receptionist was rude and said that she sent a text to someone else saying they wanted to reschedule my son’s appointment. I was told their call center that makes their appointments aren’t able to confirm appointments and I had wasted an hour trip to see them. I will not be rescheduling and I have never experienced such unprofessionalism. This place is dirty and the staff is awful. It needs to be SHUT DOWN!!

Jennifer Turner Never been here before. Called with an emergency and they had a cancellation and was able to get me in the next day. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. The dentist was very welcoming and caring. The dental assistant,Mrs. Kapresha , was unbelievable. She was very sympathetic to my situation and went out of her way to try getting me the help I need (they dont do root canals at this location). I thanked her so much and her response "I love my job", and you can tell she really does. An absolute amazing human being. We need more people like her in the dental field. I will recommend this place to anyone.

Joshua Cosenza Hill family dentistry has been treating my family for many years for general cleanings and other dentistry needs. They are extremely patient, caring, and affordable I would highly recommend using them. Any time that I’ve had any issue they are willing to educate me in office and provide multiple options for treatment. I don’t like going to the dentist but they have made the process easier and more enjoyable through their amazing attitude and service.

Jane Pham As someone whos usually pretty nervous going to dentists, the staff made me feel right at home! I came in for a filling, and Dr. Hill as well as Tammy were so sweet! They took their time with me even as I was so sensitive. They made sure I was 100% comfortable before operating. I couldnt have asked for a better time here. I love all the caring and sweet staff, and Im so glad to have had the opportunity to come to this office. Highly recommend!

April May I cant believe that I wasted all of those years at those other dentists. Dr. Day has restored my smile. My teeth are much healthier than before. I am thankful for her and her team. Some of the best dentist/doctors do not always talk easy, but you cannot deny their expertise/work. Logic over matter.

Sonic Spiral this place caused me to have ongoing dental issues. Came here to get something fixed on my teeth and left with more issues. Its been a year later and ive been working with a new dentist elsewhere to fix the issues Day Dental caused. Whats worse is the staff was completely rude, the Dr. Huntley blaming me for my tooth having isses when my tooth had NO PAIN before he worked on it. Then Dr. Day was even ruder and basically told me not to come back there. I was so nice to them and I was wrong for trusting them. I regret going here and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Renee C I had a very disappointing experience at Day Dental here in Gainesville fl. The staff was not as helpful or friendly as I expected, and I felt my concerns were not taken seriously. Dr. Day was very rude, I was very shocked since she was the owner. Despite explaining my issues that, I didn’t receive the attention or solutions I was hoping for. Day Dental adjusted my tooth incorrectly, causing ongoing misalignment and discomfort issues and they refused to fix it. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and unsupported. I’ll be going to another dentist.

Jennifer Greene Unfortunately one of worst dental experiences. I have been at 2 other dental clinics as my teeth are troublesome since I was young. The Prosthodontics area spends a lot of time telling you how expensive its going to be. I wanted to move forward, they just dropped me even after they made the appointment. I think they just thought I did not have the money and moved on to other prospects. They were cold and superior. This should have been handled in another way, not this hurtful and degrading way.

Crystal Dozier I went in today for the 7am lottery system. There were 9 of us and we all got seen. Very easy process to get checked in, make payment, get X-rays. It was $195 for panoramic X-rays, exam, and tooth extraction. After X-rays, I was taken back quickly. I had the best dental students!!! My tooth was gone almost into the gum. I wasn’t sure they’d be able to do it. They both were so nice. They were sure I was numb. It took aloooot to numb me, they ended up asking the professor for a different one because it was a struggle. I did need my gums cut a bit so they could extract, but they got it out in one piece!! Super impressed. I had such a good experience, that I am likely going to forgo insurance and pay out of pocket to let the students finish the other work I need. Definitely recommend. Don’t be afraid to speak up! They students will listen!

Ben Kabaci Not too particularly fond how the facilty is run, this is no way a remark on the actual students. However if I show up early, watch multiple people trickle in at 630/7 and they get called before me that makes me upset. I sat here and waited for 3 hrs just to be told that my name wasnt pulled. Yall need a fire come first served list or something. My one and only experience with UF I dont think I will be back ever.

She has always been so very sweet and sensitive to my fears. She has been there for me during my dental emergencies.. And believe me I have had them.. Dee Jay I would never return to this dentist. First, I dont appreciate the fact that parents are not allowed with their MINOR children. Ive never heard of such a thing. Secondly, the way the assistants talk to you is downright unprofessional. They are verbally abusive and rude. Last but certainly not least, my appointment was at 2:00 and we didnt get outta there till a little after 6pm!!! Not acceptable!!! Dont bother coming here. Go somewhere else. Dont consider this place as a dental home.

oliverchaddy The WORST experience ever. The first thing I want to discuss is the fact that they had dogs in the back. They do not allow the parents to go to the back, so as I was sitting in the waiting area, I heard dogs barking in the back. At first I though I was going crazy because Im thinking, I know there is no way they have dogs in a dentist office. At one point I walked outside and saw a women out smoking and walking the dogs. I watched her as she walked the two dogs back into the back door. I am all for having a pet but not in a dentist office. The second issue I had was that my daughters appointment was the first appointment of the day which was 12:30 pm for two sealants and a filling. When we arrived there were no other patients there. We did not leave the office until 4:00pm. I should have know better because when I took her and my son for cleanings our appointment was at 3 pm and we did not leave until after 7pm. After sitting there waiting from 12:30 to 4 pm I was told by the desk clerk she needed to come back to do the filling. I ask him what had they done all the time my daughter had been back there and he told me he did not know. That is when I lost it. I told them I would never come back and would find another dentist. Jennifer Robinson Never go to a dentist that will not allow you to either watch from a two way mirror or be allowed in the room with your child while they are receiving ANY care. My son told me a few years after the fact that this dentist was physically "mean" to him. He said he had tried to stay still when she told him to but that she would be so rough with him that she was the one moving his head. I had quit seeing this office because of the INSANE wait time EVEN with a scheduled appointment. Three hours wait and we had still not been seen. It is hard to find a pediatric dentist that will allow you to be in the room, we use the Levy county dental clinic in Bronson now. Even though my son is a teenager now, the doctor and nurses said they always allow the parents to be in the room. When we lived the Keys years ago, his dentist had a two way mirror you could watch from, I loved that dentist, he would talk with my son through the whole procedure to keep his mind off of what is scary to a kid. They also had a tv monitor that the kids could watch on the ceiling of a Disney movie or other cartoon. AGAIN, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE ALOUD TO BE PRESENT OR BE A WITNESS TO YOUR CHILDs treatment. If I could give a negative star rating I would.

Catherine Rowe Magda & her Husband Dr. Attia are the nicest people around. I had 6 teeth pulled and it was such a great experience,no pain(only the numbing shots, a little,thats to be expected) and just an overall great visit. Being positive goes a long way. They are doing you a service that Medicaid barely pays for, but they understand the patient is not to blame for that. Awesome place, felt safe and cared for. Would recommend for anyone needing exactions & dentures. Keep in mind,thats all this office does. Filling or crowns or other dental work they can refer you. Love these people❤️

Karen Jones Very rude office staff. I’ve spoken with the same person several times and each time she was very rude to me. She scheduled me an appointment for an extraction, and then told me when I called she couldn’t take the tooth unless I was getting a partial done which is not what she first explained to me when she made the appointment. I told her my tooth was causing me a lot of pain and i just really needed to see someone to see what could be done about it. She then told me I was seeking pain medicine and she wouldn’t give me any. I didn’t need pain meds i needed medical attention. When I asked to speak with someone else she told me no and that she was just going to cancel my appointment because they could no longer see me. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here.
