05-2025 PIEDRA DENTISTRY in Best 15 Dental Clinics and Dentists in Gainesville, FL - You Can Rely On update 3Affordable Dentures & Implants - Gainesville Sheena Bradley: I wish I wouldāve gone somewhere else because now 3 years later, Iām having to get everything done again!!! I got all my bottom teeth pulled, 2 implants and a full set of dentures. The teeth pulling went fine. I thought the 2 implants went fine but now Iām told they are completely useless because they didnāt put them far enough in to the bone and now I have to PAY AGAIN to have new ones!!! When they gave me the final set I was shocked about how horrible they looked. They agreed and did another set. They were literally the exact same! I went back several times because they didnāt fit or look right. They told me it was just me and I had to get used to them. I was never able to wear them! I couldnāt even close my mouth or bite down without extreme pain, not to mention they were a blinding shade of white. Iām now scheduled to have everything re-done somewhere else and the dentist couldnāt believe what my final set looked like when I showed him. He said they were slanted, not centered, way too big for my mouth which is why I couldnāt close my mouth and they actually press in to my muscle. So thanks a lot affordable dentures Gainesville, you screwed me over bad, gave me more debt and gave me even more dental trauma
Tower Dental Associates - Gainesville Heather Vreatt: These folks are amazing! From Jewel, the tech who did my images and xrays and got me all ready to see the doctor, to Dr. Samarkis, who radiates confidence and is very thorough in his exams, to the nice lady with the teenager and the border collie (I want to say Tricia, but I am so bad with names!) who did my cleaning.. theyre all amazing people! I was with another, corporate Dental office prior, and it showed! Tower Dental Associates cares about their patients. I was asked multiple times if I had any anxiety about anything that was being done, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and anxiety-free! This was the best experience in a dentists office Ive ever had, and I feel confident in handing the health of my mouth over to them! Thank you all so much for caring about what you do!
Aspen Dental - Gainesville, FL (Butler) - Gainesville Deborah Dyer: My husband Robert has been debating for literally years to do something about getting dentures. We had gone to another practice never saw a dentist just an outrageous estimate. Not to be deterred he made an appointment at Aspen. From the friendly smiling receptionist who greeted us to Orlando(?) who did the x-rays to Dr. B who took the time to explain Bobs situation and get to KNOW Bob to Sabrina who worked with us on a payment plan that doesnt bankrupt us; an experience well worth it. Cant wait for Bobs new look!! Thank you Aspen!!!

I went last year for the first time and wish I had known about this wonderful company earlier in my life. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now!
Family & Cosmetic Dentistry - Gainesville Powers Tony (FireUpChips): I ended up going to Dr. Hughes because Santa Fe Family Dental was no longer in my network. While I will say he seems like an amazing person, I think the difference from being an āokā doctor to a āgreatā dr are the intangibles and empathy. You need to be able to put yourselves in your patients shoes. I just donāt feel the same comfort one should feel at the Dentist. Also, I have really good insurance. Why is a cleaning over $115 dollars?! Oh not to mention, I told him during the cleaning it was painful and he told me maybe my last dentist wasnāt cleaning my teeth correctly. Like I said, nice guy but donāt have the qualities to be a good dr. You run that place like a cat shop, where it should be looked at with more care and concern. I still respect you, but not for me. $120 for a cleaning is crazy. That is considered preventive and I donāt pay for preventive procedures (even if itās under the gums) every dentist I been to always numbs when you clean under the gums. ALWAYS. I canāt believe I almost allowed your team to do that. Horrible experience. Canāt recommend.
Coast Dental - Gainesville Jorge Cabrera: I had a very similar experience to what Anna M mentioned in a previous review. I have never experienced the amount of waiting and forepayment needed until I visited this practice. Causing important time disruption and prolonged physical discomfort. Im willing to discuss with anyone in this company who ever picks up the phone, which in my experience is only answered for appointment scheduling.
They do charge a $100 fee upfront to enter you into their system even if you took 10 minutes the day before to fill out their form, but that was just one of the surprises on that first visit. They will also charge you upfront for future procedures. The office tends to smell like cigarettes and some of the equipment has visible rust on it. They only have one doctor seeing other 5 people while you wait and the anesthesia wears out. Every step of the process takes extremely long, except for billing.
I decided not to go back after I went to have a fair amount of adjustments from a previous visit where the doctor started to get frustrated because he was overbooked. Im glad they only touched one half of my mouth because it took weeks to get the adjustments done while I was painfully trying not to chew on the one side they worked on. Im still waiting for reimbursement for the other half I had paid for upfront.
At this point Im taking them to the Alachua Small Claims court for a reimbursement they said it could take up to 12 weeks, and here we are 24+ weeks later and no response, passing the ball from office to office, department to department and no mythical regional manager has ever contacted me like their customer service reps said they would. Theres an obvious disconnect between their customer service and the office. Messages are never passed down and no one assumes responsibility, but somehow, I still get calls about appointments that I never scheduled.
Coast Dental - Gainesville `: Prescribed me some special deep cleaning and refused to complete the regular basic cleaning that insurance would pay for. The doctor zooms in which is last thing I want for a dentist. Also, while waiting, I overheard the manager being told in a meeting to basically squeeze every penny out of patients and if they become difficult and dont want to pay extra fees imposed on them let them go. Although they are probably technically are not breaking any laws, the whole thing totally feels like a scam. Taking my business elsewhere, and regret not reading other peoples reviews.

I was impressed by the professional and welcoming staff and by Dr. Godets knowledge and patience as she went over all of her findings with me. I had to wait a bit to get an initial appointment, but it was worth the wait. The office has a great ambiance and the team seems to work harmoniously. I have a treatment plan I understand and will soon embark upon, and am so grateful for the recommendations I received about this practice. A++
