Ary Davis Absolutely amazing. Rayna did a fabulous job and calmed my anxiety about getting my hair cut. I have extremely long hair that’s curly and I wasn’t looking for a major cut, but did need it at a manageable length. Rayna listened and made it one of the most enjoyable hair appts I’ve had in a loooong time. She didn’t rush the process, was super down to earth, very sweet and I can’t express how well she listened to my concerns and wants. My hair looks amazing and is exactly what I wanted. Inice Gough Deanna did amazing work on my hair color and cut. I have very curly hair with the top hair being a lot less tight than the hair underneath so the curl was flat on top and tight underneath. She did a great job of not cutting too much, which happens easily with curly hair, so its now curly on top again, yay! Its also the best color blend Ive had in years!

sisterchica1 Deana did a wonderful job starting a consultation on what I wanted to achieve. She is a good listener and communicated effectively with me so we were both on the same page. Deana is pleasant to be around, shes friendly and efficient and that studio is welcoming and clean. I was very happy with the color, cut and styling. I would highly recommend her services.

Nancy Seraphine I was on vacation from New York and went to Andrea on recommendation. She did a qiqi treatment on my hair and a haircut. Love, love, love the treatment and best haircut I’ve ever had! 2.5 months later and it still looks great! I want to fly back just for an appointment! Andrea and her staff are ALL lovely people.

Lisa Barden I absolutely love Andrea and the ladies at The Beauty Bar! They are the only salon Ive ever been to that understands my issues with vertigo, and came up with a solution that lets me finally enjoy getting my hair washed prior to a cut! They did hair and makeup for myself, my bridal party, and my mother for my wedding in October, and we all looked gorgeous! The person who did my mother was really patient with her, and Ive never seen her look better! My most recent cut is probably my absolute favorite ever! I took Andrea a few pictures of what I wanted, and walked out with exactly that!

Deborah Held Andrea and her team did a fabulous job on spray tans, hair and makeup for our wedding party of 8. They used high quality products, listened to what we wanted and gave us the ultimate salon experience. We were all very pleased with our hair and makeup and the wedding photos were beautiful. I would highly recommend them!

Jordan Miller Ansley is probably the best hairstylist I’ve ever gone to! She saved my dry, damaged hair and help turn it into an easy-maintenance blonde that I adore! She is always so very sweet and kind! She is absolutely amazing!

Ally Stiles Do not go here! I have asked other hair salons and apparently they are known to cancel your appointment an hour early for the day of your appointment. I was so excited and waited a whole week to get my hair done from them and the day today I get a call before my appointment that had to be cancel and no one else could do my hair. This isn’t right at all means! And so I called another hair salon and told them what happen not one hair salon but several and was told oh yeah don’t go there they do that a lot and got into one of the salons asap! So I won’t be making any appointments here or give y’all good review at all!

Sarah Case If blonde bombshell is the look you’re going for then Pam is the stylist you didn’t know you were missing! Trust me on this. My hair has never been healthier and my blonde highlights are always stunning. Pam is talented, professional, experienced, and is dedicated to making your hair look and feel incredible. Mary Croxton Love this salon! There has been some turnover in the last couple of years, but they are always very accommodating and I am very pleased with my newly assigned professional. Shes been there for a long time but I only recently transferred to her book and have nothing but positive accolades to share. The salon is very well kept and soothing with all the extra amenities like a complimentary coffee/espresso station, wine, and snacks. The space is small and intimate, so I feel like Im getting a spa day each time! I wish theyd go back to being open on at least one weekend day to better accommodate my work schedule, however they are open later during the week. I drive 35 minutes from Jax because I have been so pleased over the years. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-class & chill Aveda salon.

Kim I have been going to Brenda for 20+ years. I have followed her over the years when she changed salons and when she opened her new salon recently. The salon is gorgeous! Everything is new and perfect! Brenda has always done on great job on my hair! She is now offering the Red Light Therapy that I have used for the last month. apple (Jax) in 2021 i took my daughter to get her hair dyed black on top, with a single blue tone ombré at the end. instead, it was dyed brown on top (her hair was already brown) and then 2 diff blues from the start of her ears and down. spotty blues at that… she had hair past the middle of her back!!! the owner left the bleach on my daughters hair for too long, so the dye washed out and none would hold afterwards. her hair would break off in clumps. we ended up having to cut her hair up to her shoulders…

DENISE TAYLOR Jennifer was amazing, I was here from out of town and a former hair dresser myself and I was ready for a change. To cut my long hair off and she done just what I wanted. Very friendly and down to earth. A before and after. Love it.

Alana Keefe I got a perm and honestly I was not happy I told Toya I wanted spiral style tight perm and showed a photo to her, she then showed me which curlers she would use I til her those were too big and she went along anyway. Then she kept adding to much hair to one curler to where they kept popping out, when she took my hair out some of my hair at the ends were still straight. The appointment felt rushed she did not style my hair at the end or put any product into so when I stepped outside my hair blew up like a lion mane. I enjoyed the atmosphere and would like to go back but I think I would request someone else. Btw I have had multiple perms before and never got results like this.

Sam H-A I will FOREVER go see Patience for the rest of my life! Not only is she incredible with vivids, she is personable, kind hearted, and consistently looks out for the well being of your hair! She is not afraid to give a “that picture is photo shopped, but I can get you something similar for every day”. She also braided my hair before surgery recently and my braids stayed THREE DAYS after the fact! Go see her, she’s amazing!

Karen Joseph I have naturally curly south Asian hair and got my haircut with Patience at the Buzz salon. It was honestly the best haircut Ive ever had! Its always tricky with curly hair and hard to find a stylist that knows and understands curly hair. Patience was professional and she knew exactly what she was doing. I highly recommend this salon. And the prices are absolutely unbeatable! Making appointments was easy and the entire process was quick, easy and professional.

Mary Beth Neal I was new to the area and nervous about finding a new stylist. However, Erin made all that go away. She took the time to talk to me about my hair and we discussed options. Most of all, she is genuinely concerned about your hair being healthy and working towards that with every visit.

sherry davis Erin Spann has recently moved to Chrysalis and wherever she goes, I go! She has been my hairdresser for many years and I wont go to anyone else. Erin is so talented and attentive to her clients wishes I feel like I am in the hands of a truly dedicated professional. Whether I have wanted a color and cut, highlights, just a trim or a whole new look she has never let me down and she can work miracles with color. I always leave her feeling like a million bucks! On top of her talent and passion for her work she is a genuinely good and decent person, sweet as pie!

Danielle Rohrbaugh I have never gone to the same hair stylist twice because I’ve never had a hair cut I liked. First time I went to see Cristin at Chrysalis I had super long hair cut above my shoulders and I was very happy with the way it looked. My daughter (11) and myself have had several hair cuts with CRISTIN since. She is very talented and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Devina Jarrett I went to Erin at Chrysalis and she did an amazing job on my hair.. I have thick wavy hair and always have a hard time finding someone skilled in the art of layering hair.. Ive gone to her several times now and each time is better then the last. The salon is super nice and clean with a great atmosphere . Amber Burwell Brittany did an amazing job. I am rather picky with my mid- back length hair BUT she did not disappoint. The shampoo was quite possibly the best I have ever had. Nice homey atmosphere with down to earth people. My kind of style! Thanks :)

Jacqueline Hall I got a great cut last year and was looking forward to the same this year. I live here part-time. I arrived late in the day. I wanted the same stylist from last year. She was not available. The younger stylist said she cuts hair the same way as the other stylist. That may or may not be true, but she was quite rude. Her people skills were poor. She asked me how short I wanted my hair cut. This is not a necessarily hard question to answer when you cut hair all day long. For me it was a struggle to say how many inches to cut with any certainty. Instead of showing some patience, she said she didnt want to end up doing 5 haircuts. This was rude and uncalled for. Things went downhill from there. I should have followed my real desire which was to have my hair cut on the following day by the other stylist who was professional. Live and learn. To the stylist, if you think this was all about me, I suggest you look at your part in this. You were rude as soon as I couldnt give you a clear answer. Regardless, I was the customer who paid you to help me. I look at this as a learning experience which is to trust my instincts more. From that standpoint, I am glad this happened. Wonder if you will learn anything from it? Kindness is always better than what you showed.

Susan Ware Had a GREAT haircut here! My hair is fine and straight and I wear it fairly short. Many hairdressers cannot cut it evenly. Janet did on my first visit and got the length just right!! I dont want a bunch of "pampering" - just a good cut. She did a wonderful job and I LOVED it. The pricing is a big plus. Thanks!

Bruce Herbert Terry is an absolutely outstanding barber. She is the one to get if you go there. All of the flags in the front of the store are a real turnoff. Makes the place look like an American Legion center.

Erica was amazing — super nice, patient, and really took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. My hair looks fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Liv Burnie I hate to complain about a business that I’ve only been to once, but I feel like the experience I had today was enough to validate a review. I want to start off by saying the workers here are lovely. You can tell they do care about their work and are passionate about their craft. However as a first (and unfortunately last) customer, I would assume that they wouldn’t give me their most amateur stylist to make the first impression, but unfortunately they did. This poor girl (who was very sweet but very timid) was so inexperienced. she had to ask more than 5x for help, was so nervous that she cut herself halfway through, and overall a bang trim and some layers took 2 hours. I had to reschedule my day because I had no idea it would have taken that long to look like a mop. I’ve attached a picture to show how uneven my hair is even when they went in twice, because she had to ask for help on how to cut my hair straight. I’m all for helping out inexperienced people get some hours in, but this was far too long and far too sloppy to be considered professional. I can’t step foot in this place again because I’m genuinely embarrassed at how awful my hair is, and will be putting it up for the next few months until this grows out. I literally have a mullet. $50 even with apparently a first time discount and a free deep condition was too much for this service. It seems like there are plenty of experienced stylists there, but unfortunately I did not get one of them.

Heather Mitchell Emily is inexperienced in handling long hair. She absolutely damaged my hair by leaving the bleach on too long, she then tired "brushing" my hair in the washing sinks with very minimal product and all force ripping and splitting healthy strands. I didnt get my complimentary deep conditioning treatment with a relaxing warm towel for being a first time client. I didnt even get the cut I asked for, what she did cut wasnt even straight. They tried to make it right by offering me the cut I wanted originally and the complimentary deep conditioning treatment which I should have gotten at first. I declined that and wanted to speak with the owner. The owners response was a full refund and her stating "Im sorry you werent happy with the services provided" not even an apology for her stylist negligence.

Taylor Wright Erica is amazing! Everyone was so nice and welcoming! She did an amazing job on my hair, I love how thorough she was and she took the time to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. It turned out even better than I imagined and I felt super comfortable with her!

Ali McCullough Michelle does a fantastic lash lift and tint! I have gone to her several times and will continue to go back. She is always kind, gentle, quick, and my lashes look amazing after! Plus her studio is so cozy and relaxing

Brenna Mallozzi Michelle was super calm and pleasant, and I instantly felt relaxed going into her studio. I signed up for an appointment of a facial, massage, and body polish - winner combination. There were even some massage techniques Ive never experienced before. Im not someone who typically goes in for things like this, so it was a really great treat and makes me think I should do it more often!

Michael Thurston My wife has been using Michelle forever! I have some issues with my back. One being sore all the time and another being the annoying hair that scratches and itches. My wife talked me into having her wax it and….i normally don’t write these kinds of reviews as I don’t like anyone knowing I have that issue but I don’t have to worry about that anymore lol. Michelle took care of it after one visit!!! My wife was there to hold my hand of course as she ripped off the wax but it wasn’t even that painful! Michelle is awesome and does a great job! Her massages are top notch too! I’m recommending her to all my guys. lol. Thanks Michelle!!

My family is visiting Amelia on vacation and this was an unexpected highlight of my trip! Wish I lived here as I would come often for this amazing stress relief. Danielle Guidry I recommend this tanning salon & hair studio!!! Although i have dreads,( and i dont get hair cuts anywhere). I do visit multiple times a week for my "ME TIME". This place relaxes my spirit every time I tan. Theres something meditative and thoughtful, self care therapy about it. The girls at the front, Amanda & Kelley are attentive , knowledgeable and kind. Its always nice to see their smiling faces, ready to assist in my needs. Thanks to all the ladies at CARIBBEAN!

Cynthia Allf What a HUGE disappointment. I stumbled in this place about a year ago when my 92 year old father was in need of a haircut and shave. We walked in and he and my 91 year old mom ended up doing facials and we had a blast. Everyone was so friendly UNTIL..I guess I booked an appointment and missed it for my father. I was very apologetic as my father had a stoke and other issues so we were going day to day if we could get him out of the house. Arron, the manager said we were no longer allowed to book ahead so I never did. Today I called to see if I could get my dad in the day of, and Arron answered the phone and scolded me and said no because I booked another appointment last week for my dad and did not show up. I informed her that I did not make an appointment for my dad last week and that I was out of town. She said will someone did, and the girl next to her got on the phone and said I would be happy to take your dad. (if she already told me I could not book ahead, how would I have been able to last week) When we got there the woman that took us, was running behind so we waited which was no big deal but Arron, told me that we were 15 minutes late. Which was not true but my dad waited for his stylist to finish anyway. When I found out that Arron was the MANGER I was in shock. Clearly not a people person. Being a business owner myself, I cannot imagine making this woman the manager of my business. She was not only rude, tacky and unprofessional to me but in front of all the other clients which made them all uncomfortable and ruined my dads $140 relaxing session. She was telling her one client how she beat her child with her "working" hand and her child ended up laughing. Uncomfortable for all of us sitting around that had to hear this. Also, every time we go the price is different for the same services. It is unfortunate that this one bad egg ruins it for her other colleagues who were apologising for her poor unprofessional behavior. If you still want to visit this business, I would suggest finding out when Arrons day off is, and book your appointment on that day as the other people are very nice and her divisive, volatile personality may make your visit very uncomfortable. Katie, please re evaluate who you made your manager as she is not doing your business any favours.

Tiffany Cowart I went and seen Katie L and she did an absolutely amazing job I will not go to anyone else. I went to the same person for years and then one day I decided to change it up and give it a chance and it was the best decision ever. Jessica Taylor Katie is hands down the best person Ive ever had fulfill any expectation when it comes to cut, style, or coloring of my hair. No matter how far out there the inspiration photos Ive sent/shown, she has made it happen each and every time! My husband who is extremely peculiar and meticulous about how his hair gets cut will no longer allow anyone but her touch his hair. Not only is she fantastic at what she does, shes also got an amazing personality which makes the whole experience unforgettable!

Maggie Sardina I scheduled an appointment to try and get my hair platinum blonde. Overall the several days before my appointment I received a few reminders (enough to keep track of the days but not too many to be annoying) which was very good considering that I can be forgetful at times. Kristen was my stylist that day, and did an amazing and efficient job in communicating and keeping up with conversation as the time passed. She was very honest with what could be achieved that day. My hair was dyed a ginger/strawberry blonde prior and she made sure to let me know that I may not be able to lift to what I wanted in one appointment, and was able to come up with several alternative options. Because she is a professional, I knew not to fight the process and try and be as flexible as possible as she knows much more than I do about maintaining the integrity of hair. We decided on doing a color correct that day to lift as much brassiness as she could to get closer to what I wanted. She also mentioned a few times throughout the appointment that it would be recommended to cut a good amount of my hair to cut off all the damage. Again, I agreed. I was not planning on cutting my hair, and I was a bit iffy on having a short cut, but in the end I’d rather have new, healthy hair than keep what I had. I was shocked to see how much damaged hair I actually had! Although I was on a time crunch before work, she was able to do a whole lot in one session to make sure I left satisfied. I am extremely thankful that Kristen was able to get all of it done in a timely manner and give helpful recommendations. Like I said, I was never usually on board with having short hair, but after I left, I’ve been really happy with it ever since! I’m looking forward to my next appointment here.

Ginny A. Peeples Loving K&Co! The ambiance is sophisticated and cozy and the ladies there make it warm and comfortable. Its intimate yet never feels crowded. The best part for me is Lindsey...not only is she so good at what she does, she has genuine care for her clients. Its always a treat when I get to go, and I love all the real plants! ;)

Rob Robinson Best place for style, color, and general beauty - amazing owner, amazing staff n services - u wont be disappointed

Jen I made an appointment because I needed to get established with a new stylist in the area since I recently relocated here. I currently had medium to long length balayage prior to my appointment but I needed a root touch up, toner, and hair cut. I was literally shocked when my total was $200 not including the tip. For the quality of my hair cut, which was literally cut straight across without any facial framing pieces or layers, it was not worth the $200. I also requested facial framing pieces, but didnt get those either. Just the straight across cut. I also got my hair cut shorter, and for that high price you would think I had very long hair. Basically, my husband who has never done hair before could have cut my hair straight across. The appointment also took 3.5 hours. In my past, these appointments take about 2 hours, especially since it was just the top of my head that needed highlighting. So for that amount of time and for the total of $200- for a highlight root touch up, toner, and a short hair cut, it was not worth the money at all. I was expecting a very high end hair cut, style, and experience for that price. My stylist was not a master stylist, so I dont see how that business can justify charging people that much. On a positive note, I will share the stylist did a great job on her highlighting technique and was extremely nice and friendly. But in the end, I wish I could say I loved my hair for the price of it and for the time it took. It my opinion, I wont be returning. It was way too overpriced for the service I received. I wanted to share my personal experience. Dont let this review deter you from trying out the salon for yourself as you may have a difference opinion. ****It wont let me add a comment to yours, but she did not do a full balayage as I already had balayage in my hair - I needed the top of my head touched up- she only foiled the top of my head.****

C. B. I have visited this salon twice so far to see my stylist Courtney Mayer. The salon is clean, modern, and trendy. I adore my stylist Courtney who does an exceptional job on my hair. She is thorough and goes above and beyond to help me achieve my hair goals. I look forward to visiting her at K & Co Salon again for my next two (already scheduled) appointments! ;-D

See FIDAC Paula is absolutely a gift for my mop of hair! i have followed/been w Paula for past 10+ years. i would DARE NOT permit anyone else take care, time, asking what/how i would like it cut/styled. i would be wasting my money.

Tom Batkiewicz Made an appointment for 10:20. I arrived to a full shop. I had to sit and wait while Colleen complained about how bad she was getting screwed over as a small business owner and how someone had it out for her. My appointment didnt seem to make a difference, and when I sat in the chair, she spent about 5 minutes cutting my hair. The website prices were wrong, and the site did not nearly represent the experience I had.

Michael Schlegel I called for an appointment January 6th. The phone was answered by a very pleasant person who scheduled me for a haircut The next day, Jan 7. She instructed me to arrive the next morning at 9:15 to ensure that I would be the first person in the chair ahead of any online appointments that may have been booked. I arrived at 9:10 AM To a closed barbershop. I never typically wait for late appointments however I did wait until 9:40 AM before leaving, the shop was still closed. It’s disappointing that small business owners do not recognize the value of prompt appointments in great customer service. The haircuts look amazing online, to Bad that the time management barbershop in line. I realize that situations happen, but the inability to capture my name and phone number while setting the appointment to let me know if you need to reschedule is part of the problem. I am new to the area and will be getting a haircut every other week, I need a barber that not only cuts great hair but can respect my time and my busy schedule.

Nick Schaaf I have been coming here for the last 8 years. Colleen always does a great job. I have been to other places in the area and was not pleased with the zero fade finish from them. She is worth the wait and best one in the area hands down!
