Dee Cee Muy mal. El cabello estaba bien, pero las uñas eran de las peores que he tenido. Horrible. Cuando le pedí a la señora que lo arreglara, me dijo que tendría que empezar de nuevo con esa uña.Claramente no quería arreglarlo. Horrible experience. I did my hair here and that was fine, but my nails are the absolute worst! When I asked the lady to fix it, she told me she would have to start all over on that nail again - obviously, she didn’t want to do it. It was also just bad service and honestly painful due to the drill that she used. She didn’t want to fix it but no one should ever leave with a nail that looks like the one in the picture below. DAY TWO EDIT: I got a gel manicure YESTERDAY and the gel has already begun PEEL OFF. NEW EDIT: I called in and spoke to a manager that refused to offer a refund, let alone extend an apology. She claimed that she would have rather me speak to her before leaving a review and that the best they could do for me was to redo the nails. I will never come back.

Yanela Perez Rodriguez I recently visited this salon for a haircut and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations. The stylist seemed rushed and didn’t take the time to understand what I wanted. The cut ended up uneven, and I left feeling frustrated. I appreciate the effort, but I expected more attention to detail. I hope they can improve their service in the future. In addition she mess-up with my hair cutting the hair so bad like she had no experience. ---

Vanessa Mejia I love this place it is a hidden gem! I first came to do my nails and then took the plunge to do my hair after 6 months coming here. I was weary at first because usually places that focus on nails don’t do great hair. This is the total opposite ! My haircut and color came out way better than I expected. I highly recommend Lizet from the day shift for anything hair and color. She did a color correction, cut , treatment, and blow dry. Also, Kelsi amazing at doing nails . At the beginning, I was so embarrassed because I had little stubs for nails and they have been growing really well after coming here. This place is clean, super friendly and affordable.

Nala Perez The staff was very nice and welcoming and the lady that did my nails was very sweet however what is steering me away from coming back is the fact that I got an infection. They need to make sure they are cleaning and sanitizing their tools and products correctly because this is what happens when not cleaned properly. It’s not worth the pain, the stress, nor the antibiotics I now have to take hoping it doesn’t get worse

Shaving was a constant battle with razor burn and ingrown hairs, while waxing was painful and left me feeling sensitive. I decided to give laser hair removal a try. I was nervous, but my initial consultation put me at ease. Lisi explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, and addressed any concerns I had. The actual treatments are surprisingly comfortable. The laser feels like a tiny rubber band snapping against your skin. Theres a slight tingling sensation, but its manageable and certainly not as painful as waxing.

Maria Batista I recently traveled to Miami for the weekend and, due to an incredibly hectic work schedule, was unable to take care of my nails and feet before my trip. By the time I arrived in Miami, both my hands and feet were in dire need of attention—especially my feet, as I had used a foot peel mask just a week prior, and they were in the midst of peeling. It was definitely an urgent situation, and my goal was to address it as quickly as possible. I immediately began calling salons while at the airport, and as soon as I spoke with someone at Fresa y Chocolate, I knew I was in good hands. When I first contacted the salon, I explained my situation and mentioned I was at the airport. The very kind lady on the phone recommended I go to the Okeechobee location, as traffic from the airport at that time was expected to be very heavy. She swiftly scheduled my appointment, and everything was set. Before heading to the salon, I made a quick stop to grab something to eat, which unfortunately made me a little late for my appointment. However, upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by everyone, from the receptionist to the other nail techs and even the customers, which was a pleasant surprise—especially considering the rare level of friendliness you encounter in NYC. I immediately apologized for being late, but my nail technician, Zulena, reassured me that there was no need to worry and that she would wait for me. From the moment I sat down to the very end, my experience was nothing short of *phenomenal*. Zulena was incredibly sweet, and she made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire service. She kindly allowed me to snack, provided me with a phone charger (as one of the other nail techs had the same phone as me), and even offered me coffee. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and never once made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. At one point, she even told me that tipping was not necessary, which truly touched me. Zulena was also refreshingly honest with me. Since I arrived later in the evening (around 6-7pm), there wasn’t enough time to complete both my hands and feet in one sitting. She kindly offered to accommodate me the next day at any time that worked best for me, which she absolutely did. The following day, I was able to calmly enjoy breakfast and completely relax while getting, quite literally, *new feet*! I don’t have the prettiest feet, but Zulena worked her magic and made them look the best they possibly could. I could genuinely feel the difference. This experience was an unexpected and delightful treat. The exceptional service, the warm and welcoming staff, and the attention to detail have earned Fresa y Chocolate a lifelong customer, even though I live in NYC. *Mil gracias, chicas! emely fabero i made an appointment with trina (manager) on monday for 12.18 at 5:30. i called to confirm an hour before my appointment and she said i was still good to go. i arrive and i sit down and then a lady comes right after me and says she has an appointment with the same time as me to see trina, after making that error she didn’t even apologize to me. that’s a very ugly thing to do as the owner of the establishment. luckily there was another girl who was able to do my nails and she was super nice, my nails came out perfect. please next time trina be careful when scheduling appointments because that’s how you can lose clients.

Alina Benavides First they cut my foot on the side and I let it slide. Then I had my nails super long and almond shape but I wanted them filed down a little. The guy ended up cutting them and then shaping them super short and pointy to look like dinosaur claws. He then sent me to another nail tech to fix it. She had to end up putting tips in all ten nails in order to fix my shape to my previous length. Then when I went to pay they told me the price was 10 more than I always pay. I asked why and they said bc I had to get tips and almond shape. I told them no I had to get tips bc the guy messed up my natural nails and my shape was already almond. She ended up taking off only 5 dollars instead of 10. Never going back there unless my regular lady is there to do my nails. I also spent over 2 hours there when I’m usually in and out of there with in an hour.

Laura Murillo IF YOU LIKE HAVING YOUR NAILS DONE RIGHT DO NOT GO HERE!! Absolute trash service, the woman who attended me was so rude and cold to the fact that she was missing my nails and cuticles completely and simple cutting through my skin. She put the base coat right top of it and seemed to get annoyed that i was in pain. She’d put nail GLUE on the open cuts which was all over the place bc she missed my cuticles a lot. I ended up saying nevermind to the whole thing and just left with top coat. The people at the front desk had me pay the full $30 for a clear top coat, bloody fingers and uneven, sharp, lop-sided nails and had the audacity to ask for a tip. The woman didn’t say sorry or thank you, nothing, her and her friend simply looked at me blankly and walked away basically ready to go to some party her and her friend were talking about going to after attending me. She also said yes when i asked if she knew how to do cat eye looks with gel and then proceeded to watch a YouTube video in from of me. I was open to doing something else if she didn’t know and that should’ve been the first red flag. Do not recommend this place at all. For sure the worst experience I’ve had at any nail salon and i don’t think anything can top it. Below is what i asked for and the other pic is was i left with. They will find a loophole to have you pay so don’t even bother.

Briana Marie So this place is right across the street from the neighborhood I grew up in, so I’ve been here at least a dozen times over the years. Please, listen to a sister. Don’t go here unless you want your nails ruined. This place is not quality— they’ll lie about the wait to get you in a chair, then rush your nails (cutting you, ruining your nail bed with the drill, and sloppy shaping) to get someone else who is waiting into the chair. Do NOT come here unless it’s a real emergency. In the photos below, I asked for my two middle nails to be fixed. I let the tech know that they were dip nails with gel polish. He grinded the entire nail off, slapped on an acrylic tip and did a sloppy job with acrylic (instead of using gel like I had asked for specifically), the black polish AND the shaping. They charged me $10 for that. You can still see the polish on my skin and the way the nails aren’t fully painted on the side.

Natalie Perez First time here because Pretty Nails is temporarily closed. The pedicure was alright but my acrylics came out absolutely horrible. The lady was too busy asking me questions about my life and trying to get a good tip instead of focusing on my nails. When I got home I literally had the acrylic on my actual skin all over the place and I had to pull it off myself. They also came out so so crooked. I’ve never had such bad service before. I am definitely missing Pretty Nails right now and will not stay here after pretty nails reopens. This place only deserves that one star because of the pedicure.

After just a week, one nail ripped completely off, and others are already lifting. While the initial look was great, I expected better durability for the price

Fatkisses Karen Please know that this review reflects my personal experience. I recently went to this nails salon with my best friend. Since I do not have a babysitter, we went with my 2 year old daughter and my friends 7 year old son. First off, when we got there we were told to wait and communicating with the staff through the whole process was so confusing. The looks of the staff towards my daughter was unpleasant to say the least. My daughter is no angel but she is a child and as a single parent I expect people to be respectful and understandable. We both got full set acrylics with get nail polish. I paid $68.00 plus tips. As a woman doing her nails for more that 15 years now, I have never seen nail techs finish a full set of nails so quickly. And the result was extremely undesirable. There were bubbles in the nail polish, and the shape and thickness of the nail did not look natural at all. After only a week my nails were coming off from the cuticle and getting caught on anything thin enough to fit through it. Im pretty sure the owners could care less but we are never setting foot in that salon ever again. I dont recommend it.

No your nails are full of hair she starts pulling my fingers I think these people are confused?? Maybe that’s how they treat each other! Not me I did the pedicure after cause I felt bad for the employee that did the pedicure but I did a plain pedicure and did regular pedicure not gel they charged me 107$ I will not return totally shucked ruined my morning

Carmen Lam Prices are very reasonable, area is decent in cleanliness and the person I have attending me is thorough and gentle. My mother had a little complaint of pain but I am not sure if it was the person or just the specific cleaning procedure. They have 6 massage chairs and 8 nail stations. Nail color selection is sparse for regular mani pedi but their acrylic and gel Wall seems bigger. Some staff speaks English and some Speak Spanish. Others don’t but their coworkers translate for them. Full manicure pedicure is $30 (tip separate) and they ONLY take cash so be prepared before coming. No appointment needed so just walk in but if you are going for a special event like graduation season, just call anyway since it is inside a Walmart and might get a lot of business when it’s a busy holiday or season. Do plan ahead on time since they are thorough in doing each toe and nail. I am updating this review and had to remove a star unfortunately because my nail polish started chipping in two days. I will still come back to this salon because the cleaning service was good in my mani pedi and price was reasonable. The only thing that i will have to do is to bring my own nail polish. Just another update, and removed another star since I found another place that had better nail polish, even better workmanship and closer. Sorry Regal Nails, I was trying to root for you. You are still a good option for an emergency (although it is harder to tip when you get different people working on you, my mom prefers the same person for mani and pedi cause she like to reward good service but I understand it’s more efficient when you have a lot of customers).

Marbelys Ramos I’ve been coming to this place for over 10 years to do my nails. Every now and then there’s a day that I’m not too happy with how they look but overall it had always been an OK experience. Recently they changed owners and the new, young, girls are great and I’m always happy with their service. However, the guy who sits in front of the door can be very rude! He’s also very rough when doing my nails. I only do regular polish because I am allergic to anything else and have very sensitive skin. He seems upset that I only do regular polish, maybe because it’s cheaper, and when I speak up and say that something is hurting, he seems annoyed. I did my nails this past Sunday with him and when one of my pinkies got smudged he even started huffing and puffing because he had to redo it. Even though this has been my nail place for so long, and I even bring my mom and daughters here, I will not be coming back. I don’t need to give my business and money to someone that will treat me that way!

Jackie This nail salon is so clean and I love that they only accept walk-ins! It is a very large nail salon with MANY pedicure chairs aligning a whole wall and many manicure stations as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They highly encourage walk-ins over appointments and that is beneficial to me since my work schedule varies. Their gel pedicure prices are reasonable, especially since gel lasts 1 month. This is my new nail salon!
