3 /5 Brandi Voigt: They’re nice people but they seem to not all be on the same page with time frames on how long it takes to order a ring and have it delivered. With the engagement ring they said it’d be back by one day but didn’t get it in until about 1-2 weeks later I can’t exactly remember so that’s not my main complaint. Now with the wedding band I was told it would be shipped between 10/27 - 10/29 and it takes 2 days to be delivered so it would be there 11/1 or 11/4. I called on 11/1 for an update and they said it won’t be shipped until later this month around 11/27 and they weren’t sure why someone told me it was going to ship earlier. But they put a “rush” on it which I doubt will help anything. Won’t be buying anything else from them unless I can walk out the same day with it.

5 /5 Tawnya Buster: My Mom needed a necklace mended for my Dad as part of their 50th wedding anniversary. Mom called first to ensure they was on site repair (which there is!) and so she took off with the broken necklace. She was initially told it would be 2-3 weeks for the repair. She told the jeweler about her plan to surprise my Dad with it for their anniversary and she needed it much quicker than that. They were happy to accomadate her needs and the necklace is now repaired and ready to surprise my Dad! Thank you so much Chastain Jewelers!!! Our family appreciate your consideration and Im sure you will now be my parents jeweler in Lake City!

1 /5 StrawberryChan UwU: My boyfriend and I came in during the day after my birthday, as his treat he bought me a gorgeous heart shaped ring from Pandora. Heres the thing, immediately after I got home, slept in the ring, and took it off for the first time.. My finger was green. For a "sterling silver" ring to turn my finger green, thats not okay. Especially with the ring costing over $80. For that price, I wouldve expected my finger not to turn green. AND theres two stones missing from the band. Needless to say, both upset and angry about this purchase.

5 /5 Monica H: Exceptional customer service! Beautiful quality pieces and repairs! I’ve had multiple rings sized and they have very reasonable prices and fast turnaround. I purchased gorgeous floating opal earrings almost a year ago and one suddenly started to leak, I brought it back to get it repaired and they offered to repair/replace or refund with no questions or hesitation. They are always adding new and unique pieces so stopping by to window shop is a thrill, especially when I saw the hand selected opals in the display recently!! I love this store and the people who work there!

5 /5 R P: The wedding set that I’ve had for almost 20 years was damaged in a fire. I brought them to Chastain’s hoping for a miracle and they came through for me. My set now looks as good as they did the day I said I do! A quick turnaround and very reasonable price. Chastain’s have definitely earned my trust and future business. Thank you!

Caitlin McLaughlin: Bridal: I arrived alone for an appointment after having been to another Bridal store (where my experience was underwhelming and just bleh). I felt more like a number than a customer. I arrived a little early and was immediately treated by Brittany who jumped right into pulling dresses, asking me questions, and just making me feel at home. Brittany was extremely attentive and gave me honest opinions about the dresses I was trying. She was absolutely amazing in all aspects and I cannot say enough nice things about her. Now to the store…They have a great selection and variation of gowns. Prices are amazing too. The Bridal section is laid out and decorated beautifully with easy access to search and see all of the gown options. Small town vibe with Big store professionalism. You’ve got to check them out!!

Myra: If you need repairs or custom jewelry this is the place to go to . Lidia was so sweet and knowledgeable. Shes been in business for about 50 years I believe (dont quote me on that). But she let us know shes professionally been in the jewelry business since she was 17 years old. Such a hidden gem inside The Mantle. I fell in love with a couple of pieces of hers and will definitely come back. We didnt buy anything but struck a great conversation with her. She was so insightful and such a great energy she carries. I love supporting local business and have always wanted a custom made engagement ring. My bf and I looked around and I tried a couple. I gave my bf some ideas to what I like. We didnt even plan to go ring shopping but while my bf was talking with the other lady in the front I struck a conversion with Lidia and we bonded over our love for simple and timeless jewelry. I took her card and I know I will one day have a beautiful ring curated by her for sure. She dedicates her time to creating such magical pieces of jewelry and you can tell its her passion . It is very well priced for the amount of time and work she puts into it. Every piece tells a story. Highly recommend them!

DeAnne Carter: 5 stars is NOT enough! Haley & her staff @ Hometown Jewelry & Loan are absolutely amazing! Haley is one of the most talented jewelry designers and I absolutely adore her. She helped my husband surprise me with a gorgeous custom made 5 carat diamond ring as a “15 year upgrade” from my original wedding set & it is the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen! The sentiment and meaning behind every single detail in this ring is just perfection! I was a huge fan of Haley & HJL before & had several pieces from them, but now they’re stuck with me for good! Aaron Berry: Ive been in this place a few times. They have sized some watches for me but I havent bought anything from there. I went in the other day to sell a piece and I had in mind what I was willing to take for it. My wife was actually the one that went in with it first and when she told them it was mine they said I needed to come in with my DL so I could sell it. That was fine with me. I asked my wife how much they offered and even though they were low balling me on it, it was enough for me to purchase another piece of jewelry that I was after. So I went in. She told me the same amount that she told my wife. I asked one of the girls if I could just do a trade for a silver necklace. Thats what I was going to purchase with the money anyway. The owner lady..(Im assuming thats who she is..) came out with the same look on her face that Amanda described in her review. This lady came out from the back and decided to give me this condescending speech about how she just want to do right by me and she wants us to be "friends" but when I asked the girl about a trade this lady said she wanted my piece of gold plus an additional 50.00 for her silver necklace. I thought about it and I said no thanks. I knew that I could get the same necklace at several different places for less that half that. So....when I said no to giving her my gold (which was worth a whole lot more) plus 50 foe her necklace I guess she got offended and then offered me less for the gold then what she originally told me....lol. Ive always tried to support local businesses but its times like this that make me realize you cant do that....and that its better to just drive to someone else that will treat you better. So...crystal river, gainesville, lake city anywhere other than this place will get my business from here on out! Update: this is how a owner professionally responds to a review! Salvage yard Aaron Berry 4 days ago Went in to buy a rear axle for my truck. Paid to have them take it off. They said they had a few things to do in front of mine but that they would get to it. I asked when he thought that would be and he said it might not be today but we will call you. I said ok what about tomorrow? I really need to get that axle? He said we will call you. I went back the next morning to find out the status and I was willing to wait for it and it was then that I found out that the guys that pull the parts dont work on the weekend. That had plenty of chances to tell me that the day before and no one bothered to let me know. When I asked this time when I could expect to have it instead of them just telling me that it would be the next week the guy just said come around to this window and you can have your money back and he was extremely rude about it. Then....to top it off the woman that issued the refund said I told you yesterday that they dont pull parts on the weekend this woman never told me that....no one told me that...it was then that I realized her boss was standing behind he when she said that.....they are liars and they have no clue what they are doing...... Ill gladly drive to Jax or Orlando to a u pull it I dont care how long of a drive it it......this place used to be a great place to go... Response from the owner 11 minutes ago Hi Aaron.
