LA Fitness - Largo (FL)

1 /5 Dave Durell: Went in to sign up under the Renew Active program (like Silver Sneakers). The young lady at the desk was new and not sure how to do it, so she asked the manager for help. The manager instructed her to tell me to come back later because he was too busy working out to take 5 minutes to help her. So I left and drove 3 minutes up the street to Coastal Fitness, where the friendly, professional staff signed me up immediately, and I got a great workout. So if you like being treated with respect and feeling like your patronage is appreciated, now you know where to avoid.

5 /5 Shawn Cammarota: I recently toured LA Fitness in Largo, just out of curiosity and was impressed because it was bright, clean and the person showing me around, Maddy, was so kind and helpful, that I didn’t feel pressured, uncomfortable or intimidated. Some gyms feel depressing but this gym is just the motivation I need. I feel like it’s a great place to start my fitness journey, esp with all the class choices and helpful staff like Maddy to show me the equipment. I’m excited!

5 /5 Andrew Arena: Top location. Everything is super clean and nice. Staff very friendly and informative. Swimming here is a pleasure, the hot tub is nice and hot and very relaxing. Great experience overall, love coming here. Staff and management is really good here. I wish all clubs were like this one!

2 /5 Candice Currey: They had a water leak last weekend and now the place smells of mold. If you are autoimmune compromised or have mold sensitivity do no go for a while until they fix it. I went elsewhere to work out today so I didnt breath mold for my workout. My reaction to LA Fitness response at 1 am: As the company seems to think this is a "preferred" thing and not a health risk for ALL in the building. Ill likely never go back now. Those breathing mold will want to be aware of increased coughing, lung infections and/or skin issues. It causes already known issues to worsen. There is a lot of science out there. Do your own research keep yourself aware and safe. The companies are likely not liable for any health issues you incur. If left unchecked mold can disable even a healthy person over time and repeated exposure.

3 /5 Brian Delaney: Joined here temporarily but decided to go back to highland recreation center which I found to be better on multiple levels. The mens restroom area always smells lousy. The mens lockers I found to be dirty. They have tiny little ceiling fans not even that close to where the cardio area is that do absolutely nothing, why they dont have industrial fans like highland rec center does is beyond me. They do have a nice pool and a hot tub and lots of equipment, not to mention, basketball courts and racquetball but thats not my thing. Overall not that bad but could use some improvement.
