5 /5 Elizabeth Chance: Private Jewelers is what it sounds like. You walk into an exclusive shopping experience and yet the staff is so friendly and welcoming and not the least bit intimidating. You feel like you are part of the family and your community. The selection they have is large and I feel like they have everything one would ever want or need. They also have master jeweler on staff! I brought in an antique ring my husband gave me from the late 1890’s and Ron brought the ring back to its splendor plus some! This is our jeweler and I promise you that you will have a special experience if you need a new piece or you need to have a special piece repaired. Enjoy shopping!

Stephanie Feliz: Extremely Disappointing and Stressful Experience I made a purchase at Banter Jewelry and received a receipt confirming payment. Shortly after, a store employee tracked us down while we were shopping in another store, claiming the payment hadn’t gone through and demanded my credit card and receipt back. I refused to give her my card, which was incredibly alarming. I gave back the receipt but then realized I shouldnt have and I quickly returned to the store to retrieve it, stating clearly that if I had a receipt, the item was paid for, I left and walked back in the store I was shopping at. While I was still in the store, I could see that they called security. I decided to contact my bank, which confirmed the charge had gone through. I showed this to the security guard, who agreed the case was closed. I then walked back to the store I was shopping in to complete my purchase. However, as we were leaving, we were approached by five police officers and the same salesperson. I had to re-prove the payment again by calling my bank a second time — despite already having a receipt and confirmation. Even checking my account a week later that the sale was posted! In the end, I left with my jewelry, but the entire experience felt like profiling and an attempt to scam us. Thankfully, both security and police sided with us, but the stress and embarrassment were completely unnecessary by this store. I would not recommend shopping here, especially if you value respectful treatment and a smooth transaction.

I would guess half of these bad reviews I seen on here 100% faults by my experiences dealing here over eight years. People go out of the Ray to write bad things, but don’t go out of your way to gift credit and this lady deserves her credit. If Santa shops here, so should you!!
