1 /5 Ari Curry: We initially brought my engagement ring to Rose for resizing because we had used their services in the past and always enjoyed the pleasant conversations and customer service. Unfortunately, shortly after receiving my ring back from resizing, the band snapped.
The ring had been sent offsite for the resizing, and it appears that whoever performed the work did not ensure the integrity of the band. If the band was too thin or weakened in the process, it should have been reinforced or we should have been informed that it was no longer strong enough to withstand normal wear.
In my case, the break occurred while lifting a 5-gallon water jug—an activity my previous ring shank handled without issue. My ring is now with another jeweler undergoing a full re-shanking to restore its strength and durability.
