Champ Maung I was worldly ambitous, thinking that it had given me happiness or filled emptiness in my heart. As we all know, that is not the case at all. Therefore, I repent of my thoughts and seek God. sister of the church, who happens to be my coworker, then invited me to meet the pastor. Even though I rejected it politely a few times, God was moving my heart to come meet the pastor. Only then was I able to meet a true servant of God who, living by faith, preached the gospel of Jesus Christ that I am eternally redeemed. I went in as a sinner and came out righteous. I was able to experience what true grace really is and the happiness that I was seeking. It was God, all along, who was leading me. I dont love myself as much as God, who loved me.

Jim Jacobs I first came to the Rock of Central Florida when Steve the Rocks Lead Minister and Visionary gave me a phone call to do some irrigation work needed at the church in June of 2014 While conducting the required repairs. I was able to have a personal conversation concerning the church with Steve. He was able to set aside a little time and genuinely listen as I unfolded my story. At the time, I was a broken man a couple of months earlier. I had attempted suicide on two different occasions. Angry at God for the death of my daughter and later the death of my wife. I had turned my life over to Satan for over thirty-eight years I lived for drugs and Alcohol I had a church background, but bile still ruled my heart. As I talked with Steve, tears of shame and longing broke through the anger. I fully expected Steve to ask me to leave and not come back to his church that he had no room for a man like me there. Instead, he put his arms around me and helped a dying man find a new life now filled with the love and joy of living. How do you put a number of stars on a gift as I received? I could quickly put a million, but it still would not come close to the life he has helped me to restore. So my review is five stars times millions upon millions. Since the beginning of my coming, I have received blessings numbering the sands along the beach. Not an exaggeration!

The Bible clearly, over and over again, instructs us to read, study, meditate, and memorize it so that the information, instructions, and guidelines are clear in our thinking so that we may live by them daily. SBC’s approach to this end is doing just that. Approaching God’s word in a normal, literal, grammatical, and historical context is a must for us, and SBC meets that high standard. Our God has given us a book, the Bible, so that we may know Him, trust in Him, and follow Him all the days of our earthly life. Lynn I went to the 11:30am Easter Service today, which was absolutely beautiful! It was my first time visiting this church and I felt welcomed, which was nice, because its difficult showing up somewhere as the new person. You can dress up or wear jeans, it doesnt matter, whats important is that you are there to worship! The pastor was inspiring and the music uplifting! They offer 3 different worship times to accommodate most schedules. My only regret was not being able to get one of those bundt cakes the pastor seems to like so much!!

The children’s and youth ministry are exceptional. I’m always encouraged to see the amount of teenagers and older kids serving and volunteering. Beyond all this, the preaching is truth filled and Bible based. 10/10, definitely recommend!!

There is a beautiful park and a huge playground right across the street. Centrally located in historic Sanford.One of the best places to visit for worship in Central Florida.

We wanted to be part of a family and find a place where our children would LOVE to come to church. We have grown as a family through this church. For several years now, we help serve, greet, seat and even make coffee! Through our small groups, we now REALLY understand what a relationship with Jesus looks like. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE OUR CHURCH!

CL Floyd We’ve been attending Seminole Community Church for over a decade. They have a wonderful youth group for elementary, middle, and high school. The sermons are great & the worship team are amazing. Love my church family!

Dave Parker After 20 years, my wife and I still love this place. We have seen so many lives changed over the years because of people being led to Christ. It all starts with the dedicated pastors and staff that ‘never stop working’. Yes, Sunday services are excellent but there is a lot more to this place. The kids and youth programs are top notch. If you have younger kids, you certainly won’t be disappointed with the programs and activities these guys have for them. Then there is a program called Collective for the older teens & young adults. And there are lots of bible studies for adults too. I could go on, but I’d say just check out seminolechurch.com to see what they are all about. If you like a relevant message with upbeat music in a welcoming, family atmosphere then SCC is for you.

John Burford My wife Stephanie and I started regularly attending St. Thomas More when we started doing our marriage prep with Fr. Vernoy in early 2023. We were married here in September 2023. I love St. Thomas More for several reasons. First, they offer the Latin Mass with great beauty and reverence and the preaching is always orthodox and solid. They live the liturgical year with gusto: candlelit Marian processions, Eucharistic processions through the neighborhood, rosary marches through downtown Sanford for Our Lady of Victory, May crownings, a festival for their patron saints feast day, an international festival for Christ the King, First Friday and First Saturday devotions, etc. Second, they have lots of resources that arent very common with Latin Mass venues: 8 priests, their own church, a K-12 school, a vibrant community, a bookstore, Gregorian chant, weekly catechism for children and adults in English and Spanish, sung Sunday Vespers, lots of volunteering opportunities, multiple daily Masses, solemn high masses on random weekdays, visiting nuns, Ignatian silent retreats, a yearly 102-mile traditional pilgrimage from St. Thomas More in Sanford to Our Lady of La Leche in St. Augustine by foot and canoe where they camp each night, etc. Third, they have a warm relationship with the Orlando diocese, especially with Bishop Noonan and All Souls (the local diocesan parish). I know that when it comes to the SSPX, this is a concern for many Catholics, and I want to reassure people. Here are some examples. Bishop Noonan officially approved our wedding mass, as he does all weddings at St. Thomas More. My wife and I wrote him a thank you note and sent him pictures. Bishop Noonan allowed St. Thomas More to use All Souls (the local diocesan church) for size capacity reasons when Bishop Mallerais visited to do Confirmations a couple months ago. A couple weeks ago, St. Peters in DeLand hosted the St. Thomas More Academy students for their Christmas concert. Last year, St. Thomas More Academy did a field trip to the Orlando Science Center and to St. James Cathedral, where they paid homage to Bishop Noonan and formally acknowledged his authority as their bishop. This was publicized in the school newsletter. The St. Thomas More choir director splits his time at the All Souls Latin Mass, where he is training their choir. I think Bishop Noonan also has St. Thomas More help train priests who want to celebrate the Latin Mass. Last year, I attended a Pontifical High Mass at Epiphany in Tampa sponsored by Bishop Parkes and celebrated by Bishop Schneider, who gave First Communion. Serving at the mass were several diocesan Latin Mass priests including Fr. Palka (the pastor), a couple of FSSP priests from Sarasota, Fr. Talarico the provincial superior of the Institute of Christ the King for the USA, and Fr. Vernoy the prior for the SSPX in Florida. St. Thomas More hosts regular get-togethers for different diocesan Latin Mass priests, including Fr. Palka (pastor of Epiphany in Tampa) and Fr. Z. In short, there is a dedicated effort on the part of all involved to recognize lawful authority and have a warm, close relationship. I warmly encourage you to visit. Its a great church and were very blessed. If its your first time, Id come to the Sunday high mass at 9:30 am to get the full experience.
