2 /5 P: I really wanted to love this place, but after two separate attempts, I’m disappointed. The first time I ordered delivery, the food never arrived—even though I paid for it. I had to call the restaurant myself to figure out what happened, and they said they never received the order, or didnt see it. I ended up needing a refund.
I decided to give it another shot and pick up my order in person. Parking was tough, and when I arrived, I stood at the bar waiting to be acknowledged. The server walked past me to pour drinks but didn’t say anything, so I waited awkwardly until I finally asked for my order. They asked for my receipt because they couldn’t find my name, which felt disorganized and uncomfortable.
As for the food:
- The boudin was mostly rice with very little pork, and one piece had a large chunk of fat—not appetizing.
- The potato salad had a strange fishy taste, almost like it was cooked with shellfish? Not sure what happened there.
- The chicken sandwich was solid, crispy and flavorful, definitely the best part of the meal.
I appreciate the concept and the menu, but between the delivery issue, awkward pickup experience, and inconsistent food quality, I’m not sure I’ll be back.
