After checking out Google reviews on Mission Barbecue, we decided to order takeout. It was located only about 5 minutes from our hotel. When we arrived, there was a decent crowd inside. The host was very helpful. She helped us place our order by explaining the different options to choose from. We ordered 5-bone baby back ribs, Mac & cheese, and baked beans as the two sides, and a side of cornbread came with the order. As we waited for our order, I noticed the beautiful decor around the restaurant. Memorabilia pictures of military and rescue workers were placed all over the restaurant. There’s a true story to this restaurant. Hospitality was the best. The atmosphere was pleasant, nice and cozy. Finally we received our food. Went back to our hotel to eat. OMG… best barbecue we have had in a long time. The ribs were so tender (meat falling off the bone) it came with your choice of sauce. We choose barbecue sauce with hickory. The Mac & cheese was so good it seemed as if it was baked In an oven. The baked beans were just right, had pieces of brisket in it instead of bacon. We are originally from New Orleans, La., and I didn’t think anyone can top our barbecue. I was wrong. We enjoyed it and ate it all. I would definitely recommend Mission bbq.
