1 /5 Ricardo CD: The atmosphere here is genuinely nice—classic diner-style, friendly staff, and a place that feels like a neighborhood staple. Unfortunately, our experience with the food overshadowed everything else.
My son ordered a kids’ meal with a hamburger and fries. Almost immediately, he didn’t want to eat the burger, which stood out because he’s usually not picky. When we tried it ourselves, the meat tasted slightly off—not spoiled in an obvious way, but definitely concerning. The fries and other items were eaten as well since we were hungry and everything looked fine on the surface.
Within minutes of leaving the restaurant, every member of our group developed diarrhea. It was brief and resolved quickly, but the timing and consistency across all of us strongly point back to the meal here.
It’s unfortunate, because this is a place family members have frequented when living nearby, and we wanted to like it. However, food safety is non-negotiable—especially when kids are involved. Whatever is happening in the kitchen or food handling process needs attention. Because of that, we won’t be returning.
I hope management takes this seriously, as the front-of-house experience deserves better backing from the kitchen.
