Chad Sanders Maybe theyre just too busy, but I didnt appreciate the lack of desire on their part to discuss my issue when I came by in person with my vehicle. I reluctantly left my vehicle with them, at 830am, as they told me theyd "try to work me in". They couldnt and I picked my vehicle up at the end of the day. No apology or concern on their part as I picked it up, just a "we couldnt get to it today" reply. Literally, the guy didnt care. Im not a regular there and wont be.

lucas pawelczyk Great guy great prices, was stuck out at alligator point and ge came all the way down to fix ly brakes for me, cheapest rates in town and will do work even if you buy the parts yourself, cant reccomend enough

Damion Goodwin This guy I worked with some months back and was supposed to work on my lower control arm and he told me one price and told me to get the part which is what I did and he did not tell me any other price if I were to get it . Once I called him for repair after I got the part he told me it would be a higher price which had me in shock so I told him nevermind and I want a refund. Which he said “ No I took out dents and checked your car so you won’t get a refund” which #1 I didn’t even come for dents to be repaired, #2 He didn’t even take out the dents, #3 my car was still not fixed, #4 He took my money and trespassed me because I called the cops on him. This guy is beyond unprofessional and should not be worked with. Be advised that this guy will scam you and block you afterwards after not caring.

Neil Schlupp Driving from St. Louis to Marco Island Florida and our AC went out on our 2016 BMW X3. After several calls all over Tallahassee I found AW. Was told to come in and we will check out the vehicle and get you on the road asap. Had compressor issue and AW had the replacement part the next day. Put a mechanic on this job that morning and was on the road by noon. Truly thankful for all the effort to get this repair done and what was a fair price for the repair. Thank you Robert, the owner, Cyrus and Danny for their help and professionalism.

BlueRSX I needed a second opinion for a problem that was originally diagnosed by the dealership. David checked my car and even drew a sketch to illustrate what the issue was. As someone with a design background, I really appreciated that ^_^. They found the parts I needed and the repair was several thousand dollars less than what the dealership was charging for an issue that wasnt the actual problem. Definitely will be using Autoworks for any future work, thanks!

Coup Chicky I have owned 3 Volvos. I recently bought a Subaru and regretted it. Purchased another Volvo just so I can take it to Popular Mechanix for service and repairs. They solely work on Volvos and nothing else. Stephen and his crew go above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Benjamin Jones I was searching for another Auto Mech Shop here in Tallahasee after many years of dealing with a shop that I considered fair/honest but as time went by all the long time mech departed and things didnt work out as well, but Bass Auto Repair Shop restored my faith with them on being a honest and reliable auto mech shop here in Tallahassee. The owners of the shop were very helpful and honest about what our vehicle needed and didnt try to sell us something just to make an addition buck on. Ray Johnson Took my 2002 f150 there this morning to have the plugs changed. They will now be my new mechanics! They were recommended by a friend of mine. Very straightforward and honest about what is needed or not and what you can get by with if needed due to what can be afforded at the time. They absolutely know their stuff, very friendly and professional. Highly recommend them!

They are truly so kind, so knowledgeable, and will tell it to you straight. Stephon went above and beyond to make every part of the experience easier and Will has been helpful whenever I called. Glenn was amazing and took time to help me however he could even though the shop was incredibly busy. I almost want to gate keep how great they are for myself but they honestly deserve the business. Dylan Stevens Pioneer Brake & Auto Repair is definitely the place to go to. This place is ran by very knowledgeable guys. They helped me diagnose my express van and figure out why this check engine light was on. Matt ran a smoke test to check for vacuum leaks, checked my fuel pressure, and looked at my fuel intake levels on the scanner. Very thorough diagnosis indeed. They found it to be the mass flow sensor Jerry told me to go with the OEM sensor, which of course I didn’t because of lifetime warranty from AutoZone. Still had a few problems, finally went with OEM and drives like brand new. Thanks guys

John JES We have been using the same auto repair shop in Atlanta for over 20 years so when my daughter went away to college at Florida State, we were apprehensive that wouldn’t be able to find a repair shop that was as good and trustworthy. We definitely found it in Powerhouse Auto Repair. The staff there are courteous, helpful. Most importantly they are completely honest and thorough in their work. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I’m so glad that we found them. They are truly a five star shop all the way around! If you are an out-of-town parent, this is the place you want, if you’re a local it’s really a no-brainer you can’t do any better.

Your mobile mechanic brian gathers lied about repairing a thermostat in my 2018 volkswagen atlas on 3/18/25 ...i colected all parts that was left on the ground and one of the parts was my newly purchase thermostat . He accepted $200 for that part of the service along with another $200 for installation of an water pump which was not working properly.. then he lied once again an said i needed a temperature sensor which he charge another $100 to install ...to top off this horrific experience he was smoking marijuana (weed) while working on my vehicle. I will be contacting better business bureau about this matter so that no one else could experience this shade tree of business.

James Zumwalt Had my Jeep Cherokee towed in to this crew w a transmission problem. They could’ve told me it was anything, but they found the problem and fixed it for a fair price. They’re not the kind of shop that just throws parts at a vehicle, charges us for it, then just hope it works. They’re were quick, super professional, super friendly. The auto repair industry is a minefield, these guys are a safe route.

Lee Ann Lewis I cannot commend this business enough! I was traveling from Destin to Tampa Bay area, alone when my vehicle started acting funky. I pulled off the exist, googled nearest Auto repair and TAR came up, it was super close. I made my way to the shop. I was greeted with proffesionisim and kindness. They immediately gave me an estimate, ordered the part and fixed the problem. I was back on the road less then 2 hours. The best part of the experience was how the staff made me feel safe and and secure that everything was going to be ok. That means the world to a female traveling alone. Thank you so much TAR, you guys are top notch!!
