1 /5 Ms. Tinson: I was first referred to Mr. Steve by family members who have been his customers for over a decade. They spoke very highly of his work, so when I was looking for a used but reliable vehicle, I decided to reach out to him. Upon inspecting the vehicle, he informed me that it would be available soon. What was initially a one-week wait turned into two weeks, but that didn’t bother me; I wanted to ensure everything was in good working order. However, after purchasing the vehicle and not having it for even 12 hours, it started smoking. Mr. Steve was very diligent and came to pick up the car, instructing me not to drive it. He had his tow truck company tow the vehicle to his shop. A couple of days later, after he had supposedly fixed the car, I picked it up but encountered the same issue. It started doing exactly what it had before, not even making it from his shop to my home.
My experience with Mr. Steve was somewhat pleasant, as he initially seemed like an honest and trustworthy individual. However, I have since learned that he often provides a list of necessary repairs for your car, charges you for the work, and then fails to complete it. He does not keep his word or promises, which makes him someone you cannot trust. I would not recommend anyone to go to him for car repairs. My relatives relied on him as their mechanic for over a decade, and he charged them over $800 for work he claimed was necessary but did not actually perform. This was revealed when they took the list of supposedly completed work to another mechanic. Steve cannot be trusted.
