5 /5 Laurel: Omg! They are amazing! Jessica, Stacy, and Kathryn are phenomenal! I wish I would have found this office during my first 2 babies instead of my 3rd. They made me feel heard. They put me first and made sure I was involved in all decisions when giving birth. They also followed my birthing plan. I will be using them as my regular OBGYN for my yearly appointments, but if I ever decide to have more babies - they will be my first call. Im so happy with this team of doctors. 100 out of 10 on the recommendation front!

3 /5 Scott Williams: This is a nonprofit hospital that forced its patients into unneeded doctor appointments just to get refills. I literally have to do a visit every 3 months for my sleep meds and 6 months for my prostate meds. None of this is required by Florida law. My next appointment is by telephone where I get to say I am fine and just need my prostate meds and get to spend $100 or more for nothing. Even worse my meds run out before my appointment and they refused to offer a refill so I will go without. I only gave 3 stars because Dr Friend is awesome.

1 /5 Eclectic Archaeopteryx: Twenty-five and a half (25 1/2) weeks. Just a few days shy of 6 months. Thats how long AdventHealth Family Medicine is making me wait for my first appointment here as a new patient (with pretty good insurance). I still have more than 3 months left to wait. The whole AdventHealth system is a joke now. I need a colonoscopy (one of the "Overdue for" reminders on the AdventHealth patient portal), as Ive never had a screening and am in my 60s, and have symptoms that need to be checked out. Yeah, I KNOW Im overdue, I just havent had insurance until this year. Next to the "Overdue for colonoscopy" reminder on the AdventHealth portal is "Request Appointment." I submitted that form 4 months ago and never heard back. When I called, I was told that despite the fact that my super-duper new insurance does NOT require referrals, AdventHealths OWN policy is they wont schedule you to see any specialist without a referral! So the only way to get that referral for the much-needed colonoscopy screening is to see a PCP. Which is what this place is making me wait 6 months for (assuming they dont cancel on me like they apparently have so many others according to reviews here). IF I finally get to see a medical professional, who knows how many months after that Ill have to wait for an actual referral to get a colonoscopy, and then how many months after THAT if any kind of followup is needed. How or why is it even worth having insurance at this point, if its impossible to use it??! Guess Id better hope I dont have any fast-growing cancers or any other issues that require timely treatment. Just a side note: All you Americans who believe the conservative propaganda about how "awful" it is to have free Universal Health Care because in countries that have it, people sometimes have to wait (gasp) 1 or 2 months to see a doctor -- OMG WAKE UP. Id be delighted with a 2-month wait instead of the 6 months Im forced to wait here just for a basic initial appointment with a family practitioner in good ol USA.

1 /5 Lori Bragg: I think AdventHealth pulled a bait & switch scam on me this week. I made an appointment at the insistence of my doctor’s office to get a refill on some meds. When I got there, they handed me a form to sign that said the appointment was for a physical/preventive exam and if I talked about refills or anything not on the list I would be billed twice. When I questioned the nurse about this, they looked at the form like they’d never seen it before and ran to get another person to explain it to me. That person didn’t introduce herself or tell me her role in the office but said various things about it being an insurance requirement, that they would reject the claim otherwise and that she was trying to save me from a $500+ bill. She finally said she could change the appointment category from an annual physical to my original request for an office visit so I could discuss the refill. Oddly, the annual visit estimate was $382, the office visit estimate was $162. Why did they change the purpose of the visit? Why did they argue with me about what I could talk about with the doctor? How can they bill twice for one 10-minute conversation? The items on the list for a physical are so basic they could only apply to patient/customers with no history with the doctor or the office – basically: is the patient breathing and have they had all their shots?! I’ve researched the policy and the form online and can find no references about it being a requirement. I found one reference from a Minnesota insurance provider saying that the doctor’s office may switch the code and bill differently if they feel you went outside of the items on a physical. Which is not billing twice or changing the codes so you can bill a higher amount. I think AdventHealth wanted to bill the higher amount for a physical. I’m not sure if this is a corporate issue or a local office problem but there was no attempt to treat me as a “Whole Person” as their website claims, or to be the “Healing Hands and Servant Hearts” they also claim to be. To them, I was money in their coffers. Full stop. No questions allowed. Follow orders and we’ll get you out of here in 10-minutes and get as much $$$ as possible.

1 /5 Sabrina Biery: I have been having issues with this office for over a year. I attempted to get some of this resolved in the past couple weeks with an office manager, but even she stopped responding to my email. They’re completely disorganized, there’s no communication between the office staff and the doctors. No one calls you back and then when they do they leave very Cryptic messages without a name of who called or what you need to call back about. It’s extremely frustrating when I’m trying to get my health back in order that I don’t have a doctors office that supports communication. I’ve had everything from medication that sat in a cabinet for six months before they called me to lying about sending bloodwork and me having to scramble the morning of to get them to send it over. It’s sad because I absolutely love my doctor and she is amazing but the office has really made me start looking at a new primary care physician.
