1 /5 Karen: This lengthy review is long overdue but details matter so people can make an informed decision. I really tried to give this business the benefit of the doubt and Ive been extremely patient but thats over with now. This is by far the most unprofessional, unresponsive and questionable practice Ive ever dealt with. Ill preface by saying this office requires a $100 deposit in case youre a no-show or cancel within 48 hrs of a scheduled appointment. I saw Ahmed Mohamed for 3 months and stopped seeing him in October of last year due to him constantly over talking me and sharing his political, religious and cultural views that are demeaning to females. He would also say inappropriate things about womens bodies. As if all the above isnt bad enough, its been 10 months and I have yet to receive my $100 deposit back. This occurs a lot with this practice according to reviews. Additionally, he has yet to submit claims for 4 of my office visits from last year (10 mos. now) dating from July through Oct. and owes me money for overcharging me when all of my out-of-pocket max was already met for the year (meaning I pay nothing). Ahmed owes me $296 and I was told 7 months ago that my refund check would be ready in 2 weeks, come to find out, they had me in their system as a widow (Im not), had my ssn incorrect, as well as my insurance group # wrong for my insurance policy, so my claims would need to be resubmitted properly and then Id get a refund check from him. Ive now visited the office on 8 occasions and Ive called 10 times within 10 mos. to resolve things to no avail. The claims have not been resubmitted by him. My insurance advocate has called Ahmed Mohammed 8 times now and has successfully reached someone only 3 times. She has yet to receive a callback which is another issue his office has, answering phones and returning calls. He cant seem to keep office staff either. Hes had 4 different staff within the past 10 months now. Ahmed Mohammed is failing to effectively manage his practice in addition to unprofessional and unethical things taking place simultaneously. My insurance company called him again in February and finally got to speak with Ahmed Mohammeds wife who comes in every Friday and submits insurance claims for him. My insurance advocate explained to her that since she keeps failing to electronically submit my claims, to just mail in the claims. This was on Feb. 9th but the claims have yet to be mailed and its 3 months later. My insurance company has now escalated this issue. Ahmed Mohammed is currently under penalty due to not submitting insurance claims in a timely manner, so my insurance company is fining his practice. Also, when he does decide to submit the long overdue claims, they will be denied due to him not filing them in a timely manner and he will forfeit payment by the insurance company for submitting them out of the window of allotted time. So he will lose a lot of money due to his and his wifes negligence. Ive just filed a small claims court lawsuit, contacted the BBB (which hes been reported several times if you look him up) and Ive filed an official complaint with an additional consumer agency as well. Next, Ill be reporting him to the State Medical Board. I hope this review will prevent many others from being taken advantage of, especially disabled veterans, like myself.
