  • 11i Salon Collective - Jacksonville Neha S: I was referred here by a coworker, and I’m so glad I got to meet Kiki! She’s so sweet and talented. I was getting married and struggling to find a good stylist, but Kiki squeezed me into her busy schedule and worked her magic. She made me look incredible on my wedding day, and I got so many compliments on my hair. Highly recommend her amazing work!
Salon 180 - Jacksonville Melody Serrano: New to the area. Walked in to inquire on rates and availability. Spoke to Raven, the owner, and set up an appt for 2 days later for haircut. Just left from my haircut appt. Its a warm friendly environment. Nice vibe with music playing. Everyone was friendly, but I was working with Raven. She cleaned up my overgrown hairstyle. Helped give pointers on places to check out in the area for food/music. She did a wonderful job on my super thick hair. I definitely will be going back! Thank you Raven.
Couture Hair Salon - Jacksonville Erica Conto-Teague: If you are looking for a fantastic salon and wonderful person to do so ask for Tricia. Nicest and best person to cut my hair and do my highlights.
Salon 718 Jax - Jacksonville Tried it She (It): The salon is nice and very prompt. My stylist Angela sat me at the sink to wash my hair and asked if she could use Dawn dish soap to wash my hair. She said because my hair was so oily and not to worry she would give me a hydration treatment. So without asking questions because shes the pro.. I say sure. She gave me some tips on how to care for my hair and prevent breakage. At the end of my service I was charged for the hydration treatment that I thought she was doing because she was using Dawn instead of what she called expensive shampoo. I would have appreciated knowing that upfront. In my opinion Dawn should not be used on all hair types. My hair was so dry and flaky the next day I couldnt believe it. $200 was way too much in my opinion. Ill do my own twist from now on. I would still recommend based on the client that got straight styles. Update. When I took the twist out the ones in the back looked amazing but the ones at the top and the front didnt really hold. They started poofing out a lot quicker than the rest. Shocked at the Owner response. Now youre trying to be nasty. Like I told you that day and yesterday. I washed my hair every week or every 2 weeks. I should have posted the pictures of my two strand twist when I do them myself. No thanks.
Gwynne Mims Salon - Jacksonville Rinnell Cohen: Gwynne was an absolute delight! As a Portland, Oregon transplant and licensed cosmetologist myself, my standards are high, and its been a long journey to finally find the right stylist—how I wish I had discovered Gwynne sooner. I have great respect for professionals who continue honing their craft beyond licensing, and Gwynne exemplifies this with her extensive background in both education and hands-on expertise. Her attention to detail and commitment to ensuring every client leaves with flawless hair is evident. The salon itself is pristine, the products are top-of-the-line, and the kindness you experience feels genuine. Im thrilled to have found my forever hair home with Gwynne—what a relief! Thank you, Gwynne!
The Curl We Live In - Jacksonville 441specialk: Jessica is absolutely wonderful! She gave me one on one attention for the entire appointment. Jessica showed me how to style my hair and answered all of my questions. She also emailed everything we discussed after the appointment which was a huge help. I would highly recommend her expertise for curly hair!
Salon Above by Liza - Jacksonville Mandy P: I highly recommend Liza Kaleel at Salon Above! I first found her in my late teens and introduced her to all the women in my family—she’s been our go-to ever since. Liza is a true artist, not just a hairdresser. She sees every client as a fresh canvas, creating beautiful, personalized looks with expert precision. She’s passionate, fiery, and incredibly talented—a master of color, cuts, and styling who instinctively knows what works best for each individual. Her expertise extends far beyond the salon chair—she’s trained and led workshops, mentored stylists, and even traveled to do my hair as Ophelia in Hamlet for the final Shakespeare at the Met. I hadn’t had my hair professionally done in a long time—life, the pandemic, and everything in between took priority. But coming back to Liza reminded me how transformative a great haircut and color can be. My mom, who rarely trusts anyone with her hair, has gone to her for years, and I see why—Liza is a rare gem in Jacksonville. If you want a stylist who knows hair inside and out and will make you feel amazing, book an appointment with her now. She’s top, top, top of the top!
Sophias Beauty Salon - Jacksonville La’Reesha Clercira: I called in advance I was told $65 for silk press but when finished being serviced I was told $110. It took almost 25 minutes when I arrived for me to get serviced because they were talking and buying an Apple Watch & AirPods from someone. I’m unsure if they changed the price because of my hair type but I was satisfied with my results. Kinda salty though because when I left the salon it started to rain. Hopefully it’s different next time I come
Tousled Hair Salon, LLC - Jacksonville Tina J: The absolutely BEST salon in town! Katy and her team are the nicest people. I always feel like family when I go! I 100% would recommend their services to anyone!
Adrienne Michelles Salon & Spa - Jacksonville Tess G: I would like to start off by saying, I feel bad to post anything negative about my experience as the staff was overly welcoming. Extremely sweet and the salon is beautiful and very tidy. I cannot stress enough how sweet everyone is. However, this was a very unfortunate night for us. We were accidentally triple booked and I felt so bad, we called early that morning to see if they had one more spot available and they squeezed me in. (There was a slight scheduling mix up and that made her triple booked) I went with my sister and mother. My sister was told her hair would be 150 dollars and was charged 50 additional dollars for toner without being told and 45 for maybe a 1/3 inch cut my sister didn’t ask for as in the beginning she specified she was unsure if she wanted a cut but, Adrienne just started cutting my sisters hair without asking. My sister was originally told 150 and wound up floored when she was told her total was 250 dollars. She was promised a balayage and received simple highlights which she explicitly explained she did not want, they look extremely lazy and streaky...my nanny said they look like they’ve been grown out for 3 months....its almost disgusting how outrageously overpriced and completely unlike the pictures my sister had shown Adrienne. My mother had gone in for a nanoplasty and was told mid-session she could not wash it for 5 days or dye it for 1 week. Knowing this prior my mom absolutely would NOT have gotten this procedure done, as she likes her hair in a particular way for her job. This seems like something important to mention prior to an appointment so the client could prepare themselves properly. She was frustrated and left with her hair flat and with an orange cast (her hair is naturally black). The women was VERY heavy handed and pulled on her hair with the flat iron and unfortunately burned the ends of her hair. She and my sister are now crying and out 550 dollars (total). My hair was a homemade mess I needed fixed. I have a lot of hair and I understand she was very busy but I only re-colored 1/3 of my hair (underlights/peekaboo highlights) It was a swamp green from at home dye and the bleach could not lift it I wanted it blue and it became a a bright teal which looks fine. However, I am not a hair expert but the hair is 3 different colors at the roots and now i’m too upset to put my hair up.... My roots are blonde, brown and green not even blue....She also neglected to show me my roots so i was surprised when i went home and put my hair up. I genuinely would rather be told something cannot be done with my hair in 1 appointment than pay 200 dollars for 1/3 of my hair dyed 3 colors. I was told my hair would cost 150 dollars as well and I believe I was charged for a blow dry which she did not tell me was extra. I hope I save you all some time and money with my honest review....I wish I had seen an honest review before my family left with ruined hair and out nearly 1000 dollars. Overall, it was a night to remember....in a very unpleasant way. I do not say that lightly. **REFUND/CUSTOMER SERVICE*** We reached out with a neutral party (my godmother) for any kind of compensation and she was told to leave her name and number as she would receive a call back from the owner. We have waited nearly a full week for some type of response after being told we would receive a call back from Adrienne herself which we never received. I cannot say i’m shocked as Adrienne has handled this whole situation very unprofessionally and this to me speaks high volumes about her level of customer service and what matters most to her which is not customer satisfaction. Something else important to note is that her salon is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
