4 /5 Rudy Triana: Park is currently under some repairs, but it’s still a nice place to walk your dog, take a walk yourself and enjoy the calming views of the Charlotte Harbor. You can also walk directly into the Sunseeker Resort, which is open to the public. If you’re just visiting the Sunseeker for a few hours, I recommend parking here instead of paying for expensive parking at their parking garage.

5 /5 Mary Beth Thornburg: My 8 year old can not get enough of this park. It is usually quite calm and not crowded. The park is right on the water, and bicycle and walking paths are well kept. The bay water is very cooling on a hot summer, Florida day, and there is a comfortable saucer swing facing the water. I highly recommend this beautiful, peaceful park.

5 /5 Gabe Marcano: Beautiful lovely place. The scenic views are mesmerizing to witness. The walkway was still down in a certain part of the stroll. Parking can be an issue here since its not a large parking lot. They do have small parking sections along the park. I still loved my time here for the sun gazing and sunset.

4 /5 Shayla Deppen: Nice park for the views and cute playground for kids. We brought our teenage son out to one of the piers to fish in the evening. We didn’t have much luck but we did see manatees and dolphins. I went back the following morning to run and it was a nice route across the bridge and back. I went alone as soon as it was light enough but I would def be vigilant as I noticed a few sketchy characters the previous evening.

5 /5 Celia Kane: Very very beautiful park, beautiful little beach area, lots of shade and plenty of benches to sit at the Pavilion is perfect for get togethers or lunch and the playground itself is very fun for the kids and say that has the rubber rather than mulch

Cooter Pond Park - Inverness Marianne Szabelski: Although we live less than 5 minutes from this pond we had no idea it was here and full of Flora and fauna! All my man wanted for his birthday this year was to see a live gator in nature. We didnt see one we saw a few on top of several cooter turtles! Nice little walk convenient parking and hey its right behind the sheriffs department so youre safe as a baby.

Flying Eagle Wildlife Management Area - Inverness Carolyn Barnes: I sometimes have time between one State Park or another, so I love the Florida water management camp grounds. While here, I was the only camper. My dog and I loved walking the trails. The nicest spot visually was the bridge over the slough, which has a special ramp for Airboats to cross to the other side of the low bridge. There is one porta potty on the main road towards the bridge and a working hand pump of non-potable water. Good for hand washing and rinsing dishes. Not to drink. Sadly, there was one site that the previous campers abandoned a tent, mattress, bedding, in 2 big piles and a small brand new grill. I dont understand why people dont take their messes out with them, but my last SWFWMD campground was sililar. Otherwise, the camp was very clean, quiet except for an occasional airboat, and lovely to explore. I would definitely come here again.

Fort Cooper State Park - Inverness rex donahough: $3 for a car with up to 8 people and $2 for bicycles. You can see it all in 1 day or in chunks with a few 2 hour hikes at a time Quite a few bathrooms so you wont be left wanting Nice paved paths for smooth sailing or unpaved but mostly stable paths for the nature hiker with a bit of an exercise Fort Cooper is a lovely, well maintained park (like I had to search for a piece of trash to pick up) where you can get away from the city for a day or a few days as they have primitive camp sites. A Playground sited right up near the main section for what would set up to be an amazing birthday party area. If youre daring, there are a few spots to launch onto the placid lake and loads of opportunities to walk the waters edge. With plenty of info docs about native culture and a large bat box, nature is well respected here. There are also plenty of benches on the trails and oodles of picnic spots.

Wallace Brooks Park - Inverness Dlc Fishing: Beautiful park to hang out for a day. Biking and walking paths. Picnic tables to use and a kayak or canoe launch dock. Bathrooms are available, and there are plenty of trash and pet waste cans. Cant bring grills or pop-up tents of any kind, which I get why, but dont understand. The taxpayers pay to maintain the park but arent allowed full access to enjoy a family day gathering. However, there are no designated dog waste areas. Wont be back, but we enjoyed the view!

Liberty Park - Inverness Jaime Beaulieu: Very scenic park. 9-11 memorial, lake views, shaded areas, massive playground and a rails to trails for bikes. I love this area. From the parking lot you can see a food truck and many bike shops. A short walk (or bike ride) a few blocks takes you to downtown, where you can eat, drink and enjoy music.

Potts Preserve - Inverness Chris Wishmeier: Have to have reservations to get lock combination to drive back to camp from road about 3/4mi area is nice but think there to many homeless passing through. We came in by boat to camp its right across from gum slough spring.Seen shady activity at night boat going in spring at 10pm came out 1am then another went in 6am it is long way to head spring never made it but if you want to see big gators and alot of them its good area .Boat ramp ok becareful drops off and is not straight theres mark on wall .It was good for one time trip

The Clay County Historical and Railroad Museum - Green Cove Springs Ron Bell: One of the best museums in Florida. They have the second oldest jail on the East Coast. I have not been to another museum where they let you walk into every single building and location. We got to walk into every single jail cell. I recommend this museum for any history buff or lover of Florida history.

Spring Park - Green Cove Springs Ace Wiggins: Great place to take a nice walk. I enjoy this place very much . Doesnt take long to visit unless you want to take a swim , picnic or even fish. There is a volleyball net and big playground and a water feature for the kids. Have fun ☺️
