1 /5 Jason Supple: Pretty bummed out with my experience with Bold Image. Staff is friendly and professional, work is satisfactory, but either their decision making is poor, or they dont know how to work with insurance companies correctly. Im 26 and I was recommended, per the dentist, that I have a "deep cleaning". I paid ~100 for each visit, and my insurance was supposed to take care of the rest. My insurance company informed me that they were seeking a recommendation from a separate dentist and it was determined that, according to my measurements, this cleaning was not needed. For this reason, they denied the claim. They appealed it, and denied it again. Im not the one with the dental degree, therefore, I relied on them to make the decision whether the procedure was medically necessary. I feel in this case that they should have paid my remaining balance, as it wasnt my fault. They tried to say that they reduced it to "cash" customer, but I truly felt that I paid more than what I should have for a cleaning, and would have continued work there if they just picked up the other $120. Instead, they told me they did everything they could, and I had to pay the remaining balance. As a result, they lost a customer. Other than that, expect to wait nearly an hour or longer after your appointment time before youre actually seen. Ill be looking for a new dentist.
