5 /5 Ro Co: Really nice place to go for a walk. You can walk all the trails in one day, it will take a few hours. There is a paved trail near the visitors center but its not very long and its a bit uneven in spots.
The visitors center has a lot to look at despite its small size. I went on New Years Eve (Tuesday) and the gift shop was closed. There are also bathrooms in the visitors center.
Make sure you bring bug spray, there were a ton of mosquitoes that will eat you the second you stop to look at something on the trails. If youre a plant person, there is a lot to discover such as wild coffee, beauty berry, wild oranges, huge magnolia trees, and different mushrooms. There was also fresh scat from a coyote (?) and many animal tracks.
Dont miss the cute gopher tortoise that has an enclosure in the middle of the parking lot. S/He was a cutie!
