5 /5 Viron Payne: Tom Stratham Park is an excellent park on Indian River. The park is generally clean and well maintained. The playground equipment and swings are newer. If you are planning on using the pavilion picnic table, bring wipes or plastic table clothes. Wildlife does what it does.
I do amateur radio. There are plenty of trees for hanging wire antennas. Also, there are six gazebos over the river. The brackish water seems to help radio propagation. There is almost always a breeze off the river. The breeze and shade make the park excellent for summertime QRP ham radio.
