3 /5 Douglas Economou: Seems like a nice place to meet people once you get past the generic weekly preaching catered to the first time visitors. Its certainly not very deep in terms of teaching what Christianity actually is. Ive been there several times and the messages are generally the same; i.e. "relationship with Jesus", "what does God have planned for you", "Give your life to God", "make sure to check in on social media so your friends know youre here" ... same old same old marketing campaign.
Ive been to churches like this before and while they do very well in terms of connecting people, theres very little depth in terms of understanding what Christianity actually is and its doctrines concerning sin, morality, etc. They purposely keep it very broad and PC in order to refrain from the controversial parts of the Bible for fear of "offending" anyone.
Theyre not bad people; just more concerned about growing their church than staying true to their religion (which they have rebranded as a "relationship").
So if youre into tradition or deep Biblical study, this place isnt for you. If youre just looking to meet friends and get involved in community functions, it seems like a good place. I plan on finding out more.
