1 /5 Jessica Masterson: Heres my story and this is 100 percent factual information. I dont want this happening to anyone else. If I can help one person not be scammed then this post will be worth it. I went here for the first time on 4-12-25 for an exam and cleaning. They have weekend hours and thought it was convenient so I dont have to take off of work during the week. I have aways gotten my regular cleanings done since I was a child and never in my life have I needed any other cleaning. My last cavity I had was over 8 years ago. The front staff is nice, I will say that. However, I get seen by the hygienist who tells me I have gum disease and need a deep cleaning. I thought this was very off considering I have healthy gums. I kept asking for a regular cleaning and she stated she would not be doing her job correctly if she did that because my gums are infected and need a deep cleaning. So in that moment, I decided ok, shes the professional, I will get it done. So, for the right side upper and lower, I paid $164 out of pocket and they are billing my insurance $932. The cleaning that was done wasnt a SRP cleaning, although that is what they are billing me for. It took about 25-30 mins and I was told to come back this upcoming Tuesday to do the left side for $114, again billing my insurance another $932. The doctor also stated I had 6 cavities. I thought that was also odd. So I drive home in disbelief wondering if I was just scammed. I went home, googled the doctor and found very alarming info and then I YouTubed deep cleanings, srps. This was NOT done to the right side of my mouth. I received a normal cleaning which is suppose to be free under my insurance. I immediately went for a second opinion, 2 days later. The NEW doctor looked at my xrays, gave me an exam and told me I DO NOT have gum disease and I have ZERO cavities. I have perfectly healthy gums and he had zero concerns other than keeping an eye on ONE tooth. He did a free consult and did my entire cleaning over again. So, it was all a LIE. I was told that if you work for any corporate dentist office, you are selling your soul to the devil and I believe that to be true. How could you sleep at night with lying to patients who put trust and faith into you that youre being honest with them? I was definitely a victim of fraud but they do not care. I called the office to cancel my upcoming appointments and told then they lied to me about my diagnose and that Id like to receive my money back because my cleanings are included in my dental plan. She said they provided service to me so its not refundable. No, you overcharged me for a service you did not even perform. In total, this "deep cleaning" would have been over $2,000. There was no deep cleaning or root/scaling performed during my cleaning of the right side of my mouth. That procedure requires you to clean deep down by the root and requires novaine and takes about 1-1.5 hours per side. This was not my case. I had a regular cleaning done and still had to pay out of pocket and now the insurance company will pay them for a service I did not need. I reported this to my insurance company and also reported them to the dental association. This is absolutely a horrible situation for anyone to go through. Please, do not go here.
