5 /5 Leanne Channey: We came to Broward Health Medical Center because my husband was experiencing very unusual chest pains. They were not going away after several hours. The emergency room was pretty full. There were others having heart attacks, hernia problems, and various other sicknesses. They immediately took my husband for an EKG, then an X-ray. We got to speak with a nurse who took blood. They are going to keep him overnight. Doctor Tyler Haertlein, "Ty" for short, really helped us to understand the potential things that may need to be added to our visit... depending on the results of the tests being done. He really removed a lot of my fear and uncertainty with this emergency care. When you need help, its really nice to know that places exist for you.

5 /5 Laura WeaverPerez: ER though very slow when they could take me back they did. It is a trauma ER & someday it maybe your trauma so please be patient with them. Cory was a fabulous nurse. All the doctors were great I am glad to see so many women becoming docs it is much needed. As I am a woman. The pharmacy should stay open till 9pm for late dcs in ER. STARBUCK!!!! -1 star snobs! Wouldnt give me a free ice water w/ out buying something. Cask heifers- water should be free, since there are no open fountains in the hospital & I need to stay hydrated. Worse customer service I have had in a long time. Take Starsnobs out & give the business to a local mom & pop business its not like starsnobs is hurting for money. Let mom & pop make the coffee money & make Broward more personal & homey to us patients. Broward Health keep hiring excellent nurse like Cory. His nursing director is the bomb on personal sensitivity. Thank you I never caught your name either. God blesscyou with more cutting edge care.

1 /5 Allard Emily (Socialbuzzhive Blog): Less than 0 stars. Here with my son having severe abdominal pain due to acute colitis and norovirus with infection of colon. Lack of staff, organization, lack of treatment, lack of triage and lack of support and care is extraordinary. Hard to believe this is an ER. More like an urgent care with zero sense of urgency that makes you wait for hours. Some have been here for 7 to 10+ hours!! It’s Freezing in the waiting room, no blankets no water and they give NO idea of how long you will wait in major pain or whatever state you’re in before seeing someone. There’s no softness or compassionate from triage nurses who are overwhelmed and overworked. Once inside the treatment is kinder but they need a serious overhaul to manage the constant flow of people in dire circumstances. For a major hospital in Fort Lauderdale they need to get additional staff in there STAT!! It’s barbaric the way people are treated like cattle. Something needs to be done to improve this extremely dangerous and archaic system. Broward county should be ashamed!!!

5 /5 Krisy Williams: My son checked in on the 12th and was discharged on the 14th of January. The emergency room decided to keep him because he was severely dehydrated and his co2 was very low. The 8th floor staff was very helpful and attentive. Overall the doctors did what was best for my son. We chose the best hospital for his care.
