5 /5 Jim Hasenpflug: We had a wheel bearing fail on our fifth wheel trailer while driving on I95 through Daytona Beach on our way to the Smokey Mountains. It took 4.5 hours for roadside assistance to arrive, chain up our axle and remove the wheel so we could slowly limp our way on three wheels to a repair facility 5 miles away. I contacted Chris at The Car Shop and explained our situation and I kept him apprised of our situation while waiting on the wrecker. When we arrived at 4:00 pm on a Friday afternoon, Chris assigned Greg to see what, if anything, they could do for us. The shop is closed on Saturday, so we were expecting to be stuck over the weekend and into Monday afternoon at least. Greg worked really hard to remove the damaged wheel while being careful to maintain integrity of parts because they were unsure when they’d be able to get replacements. Long story short, they repaired the damage, identified and fixed a second wheel bearing that would have failed and inspected and repacked all four wheels for us. Greg and Chris stayed over an hour past closing time to make sure we were completely repaired and good to go. They could not have been any more professional or helpful during our time of need. The owner of the shop, Robin Hangers, even stopped by to help us find an RV park nearby where we could spend the night and even recommended an excellent place for dinner. These guys were all great and I could not give them a high enough recommendation. Well done gentlemen!!!
