Firestone Complete Auto Care - Daytona Beach david mcdaniel: Just returned home from Daytona largely thanks to the people at the Firestone Complete AutoCare just over the bridge in Daytona!
This past Saturday 7/26 our Chevy Suburban "The Beast" broke down. We were expected to leave for home on Sunday morning. We had our vehicle towed to the Firestone Complete Auto Care in Daytona. I made an online appointment for 1st thing on Monday morning then spent part of Sunday (online chat) with Firestone Customer Service (Ms. Jasmine B.) explaining the situation. She was kind enough to place more detailed notes into the system and also flag this for review on Monday morning. (We were stranded and in a hotel on a night-by-night basis)
Monday morning at 7am I called the shop and spoke with a Mr. Cody. He was super helpful and confirmed that all of the details that I had spoken about with Ms. Jasmine were there.
After evaluation Mr. Cody sent out an e-mail detailing the issues discovered and also outlined those that needed to be fixed prior to a long drive and some of the more minor issues that would not prevent us from returning home. He then was able to give us the best news of that the critical repairs would be able to be completed that day! (Apologies to anyone that had to wait that Monday, but we really appreciated the excellent news!)
When I came and picked up the Beast, Mr. Cody spent alot of time answering my questions as to what had happened, what they did, and what I need to tell the mechanics when I get home along with providing a more detailed written report for me to hand to a mechanic in Georgia (home). He was very patient and even took the time to physically bring out the part that failed to show me the issue and what happened. So much better to see it to understand what happened than to speak abstractedly.
Picked up the car, made it home safe and sound.
Mr. Cody (and the team) - wanted to just tell you/yall thank you so much from myself and my family for taking the time to expedite this so that we could return home. I really do appreciate your patience and guidance.
One follow-up. There was some slight confusion about if the shop was open on Sunday or not (one website search stated yes and Ms. Jasmines notes showed open as well) however the facility is not open on Sunday. Hope this helps someone. =)
