5 /5 Edward Jurczak: The Church Street Christmas event is held December 21st through December 23rd each year from 7pm-9pm, irrespective of day. This signature event for Downtown Dade City in eastern Pasco County is held immediately before Christmas and is held on Church Avenue in the National Historic District, circa 1885. Many houses are brightly decorated for the season and there are a number of live music performances. Several Churches in the district also open their doors providing their own programs. This is a wonderful event for the entire family and is well worth participation.

Mari Scott: So me my husband stopped by here on our way home with our 5 kids. My husband went here as a child, his parents were married here and his father volunteered so much time and effort. So we decided to stop to show the kids the time capsule area and let the boys play on the playground. Then we went out to the field so they could play on the metal teeter totters. After a few minutes some little short lady with black hair came storming out across the field yelling at us saying the playground is for kids! I told her my kids were kids! She said no its for smaller kids!!!! And she told us we had to leave! Now never in my life have I EVER been asked to leave a playground with my children, and to top it off it is a CHURCH that was a part of our family history. God did not care that we were there playing. God did not judge my children nor did he make them all feel horrible. But this lady sure did! What a Bad representative for the sacred heart. Smh...
