5 /5 M Johnston: The parents came over for a visit & we all went to put our feet in the water. We all take for granted the beauty of the paradise we call home. We all love watching the planes land or take off there. Feels like you can almost touch them. No a peaceful remote park, if that what youre looking for. Its located very close to the airport. Planes fly just above the treeline so very exciting to experience, but in between that its a beautiful beach like park on the bay. Great for sunsets after which they close.

5 /5 Kate Kraversky: What a wonderful city beach park! We will definitely be back again here. The beach is clean and quite long, there are mangrove trees growing on part of the beach. You can have a barbecue on the beach, and there are roofed pavilions for shade. There is also a nice trail I the forest for a walk. The beach is very popular in the end of the day for sunset watching. Beautiful place!

5 /5 Theresa Barrow: This was my first time visiting this park and I loved their small beach. It was clean, not overcrowded, and you didnt even have to pay for parking. My kids enjoyed hanging out with their cousins for spring break. The weather was perfect.

5 /5 Patrick Kelly: Visited Cypress Point Park for the sunset while we had family in town, and it was absolutely amazing. The weather was great at a nice 58 degrees and windy. The kids were able to visit the park and play in the sand before the sun set. The views were amazing, and there were a lot of people out enjoying the views. The bathrooms are ok and not the best, but atleast they were open and working.

Cracker Country - Tampa Christina Littlejohn: Cracker Country was great, but dont follow your GPS for the entrance. I followed GPS and couldnt figure out where to get in until I did. Follow what your tickets say in your email. There are many hands-on activities, almost all of them free. You can churn butter and then taste it. Wash vegetables freshly picked from their garden. Wash and iron clothes. Practice writing in cursive at the schoolhouse and learn about what a typical day at school was like. You can lasso a cow, organize oranges, watch and learn from the blacksmith, listen to beautiful music in the church. Stamp your own postcard at the printing press. Go inside a caboose and learn who worked on the train. You also get to play with old-fashioned toys. Pack a lunch and enjoy your visit with friends and family. You can buy some candy, jams, toys, and homemade items. There isnt much other food to buy if youre not visiting during the state fair. Its definitely a fun time and great learning experience.

USF Botanical Gardens - Tampa Dexlyn Mingo: My experience was amazing. The place is beautiful. I went on a Tuesday which is free admission, the plant shop is closed but I just came for the experience and beautiful view.

Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park - Tampa Mark Middleton: I had the absolute pleasure of spending my afternoon strolling through Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park today, and let me tell you — I was not emotionally prepared for how much I would enjoy it. First off, location, location, location. Nestled right on the Garrison Channel in the heart of downtown Tampa, it’s basically Tampa’s version of Central Park… if Central Park had waterfront views, easy parking, and far fewer pigeons trying to steal your snacks. The walking paths are wide and pristine — honestly, I’ve seen hospital floors with more debris than these sidewalks. I took a leisurely walk while pretending I was in a Nike commercial (in reality, I was moving at the pace of a mildly motivated sloth). The landscaping? Immaculate. It’s as if the trees were hand-selected by a panel of the most discerning squirrels in Florida. Palm trees, oak trees, and even some lovely patches of grass that practically beg you to lay down and contemplate your life choices. Now, let’s talk about people-watching. Cotanchobee is basically a live-action documentary called “Humans of Tampa”. You’ve got joggers who are clearly training for the Olympics, tourists trying to figure out if the Riverwalk leads to Disney (spoiler: it doesn’t), and adorable dogs living their absolute best lives. I saw one dachshund in a tiny Tampa Bay Lightning jersey and honestly, that alone was worth the trip. For families, the playground is fantastic — modern, safe, and surprisingly resistant to the gravitational pull of wild toddlers. Plus, there’s public art sprinkled throughout the park that makes you feel like you accidentally became cultured just by walking by. Water views? Stunning. You can watch boats drift by and pretend you’re about to make a dramatic yacht purchase (even if your bank account says otherwise). And if you time it right, the sunsets are so beautiful they should probably be illegal. In conclusion, Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park is where relaxation, scenic beauty, and premium people-watching collide. Whether you want to exercise, meditate, or just spy on humanity like a friendly neighborhood raccoon (no judgment), this park delivers. 5 out of 5 stars. Will absolutely return — possibly tomorrow.

Tampa Riverwalk - Tampa Lona D: Absolutely stunning walk! Very clean, friendly people and wonderful view. I feel very safe around the area, and it’s one of those places I could sit and stare at the water at for hours. If you’re staying at one of the hotels along it, it’s extremely convenient and a fun way to kill time at night. You can also see fish in the water!

Tampa Big Letters - Melissa Previte: A must stop if you are visiting Tampa, heading to a Lightning game, or just walking to Sparkmans. Its a pretty open area and right at the Trolly Stop. Its always being decorated for special events or holidays, so its fun to see what they come up with next! My visit this time was hockey inspired! Love it!

Parque Jose Marti - Tampa Elizabeth Dunn: A Hidden Gem – José Martí Park in Tampa is a beautiful space and peaceful oasis right in the heart of Tampa. The park is well-maintained and offers a perfect spot for families to relax. It’s not very large, but it’s great for those looking to learn more about Tampa’s history, as the park honors the legacy of José Martí. Not to mention it’s officially owned by the people of Cuba, making it one of the only pieces of Cuban soil in the United States. Whether you’re visiting for a family outing or just a quiet moment, José Martí Park is a wonderful place to unwind.

Tampa Police Museum - Tampa Andrew Pitts: If you have any interest in law enforcement history, this is the place to go! The volunteers have a lot of cool stories to tell and you can experience some really cool things. There’s a full sized patrol car and a police helicopter! So cool!
