1 /5 JP Lansdale: I recently had an appointment with Dr. Parish instead of my usual doctor and, regrettably, I must share that my experience was far from satisfactory. During our consultation, I expressed concerns about running out of a medication that is critical for my well-being and for me to function in the world around me, particularly because missing doses can lead to severe withdrawal symptoms. Unfortunately, Dr. Parishs response was dismissive, simply stating "you are not going to die" which, while technically true, ignored the seriousness of the potential withdrawal effects and my immediate health concerns. In the end, he definitely did not rush to help me out either and my regular doctor had to step in.
Moreover, I found Dr. Parish to lack the empathy and regard I expect from a healthcare professional. This interaction not only made me feel undervalued as a patient but also left me with significant unease about my healthcare management under his care.
I believe that all patients deserve to feel heard and supported by their medical providers, and it is crucial for a physician to address patient concerns with understanding and professionalism. Unfortunately, I did not experience this with Dr. Parish, and I am compelled to advise others to consider these factors when choosing a healthcare provider.
