1 /5 Sarah Kotranza: Dr. Josten "cared" for my grandmother. She had dementia and various heart issues. After getting shingles and being in severe nerve pain he refused to prescribe her any pain medications, refused to recommend her for hospice (which she needed), and then suggested an esophageal dilation procedure to "help her gain weight". There was no swallow test done and no diagnostic reasons for that procedure. We switched physicians and he prescribed her lidocaine patches (which helped with her pain), a steroid (which helped her gain weight), and once my grandfather realized she was not improving (and had gotten over the false optimism provided by Dr. Josten) helped get her enrolled in hospice care. She died peacefully in hospice care for which I am forever grateful.

5 /5 SuzMonkey: Ive been seeing Dr. Josten since the late 80s when he first opened his practice. Twice during this time my insurance through my employer changed and yet I stayed with Dr. Josten because he is by far the best family practitioner in this county. Ive never waited long to be seen, and he spends ample time with me discussing my issues and plan of treatment. More, he is persistent in his pursuit of information from other doctors hes referred me to, and coordinates care with them on my behalf. Another reviewer complained of outdated decor and rude office staff. I dont care about the decor; it doesnt matter as long as his primary focus is his patients. As for his office staff, they are the best and have always treated me with dignity and friendly professionalism. I will continue seeing Dr. Josten foras long as he is in practice. His integrity and morals are impeccable and he truly cares about his patients.

I only need to say that despite the insane medical world we now live in, Dr Josten represents absolutely the highest standards a physician should display. Incredibly intelligent, knowledgeable and kind I personally could not think of a physician anywhere, that I would select over Dr Josten. Would recommend him in the highest of terms, and without reservation!

2 /5 Elizabeth Watson: Dr. Josten is a very pleasant, compassionate, and kind person. If it were not for his physical office and office staff, I would certainly recommend him. The office building is incredibly out of date, wall paper is coming off the walls, the bathrooms are unpleasant and rusted, medical supplies are past their due dates, and there is dust everywhere. We showed up early for our appointment and still waited over 1.25 hours beyond the appointment time to see the doctor. The office staff is impatient and unpleasant.
