05-2025 Dr. James E. Oxer, DMD in Best 18 Dental Clinics and Dentists in Sebring, FL You Can Rely On update2Robert Midence, MD - Sebring Joyce: I have loved Dr Midence from day one of simply meeting him especially for the simple fact of being a new comer to the state of Florida. An original New Jersey gal as well as as a recent widow I was very apprehensive over feeling"at home"
In an entirely new atmosphere.
But now its been over five years for my being a resident here in the Sunshine State and Dr. Midence has been so kind as well as understanding and welcoming
to this very day.His staff is always very accommodating as well. Thank you Dr.Midence for your loving kindness and rewarding gift of comforting care.
Tampa Dentist - Terrace Smiles Dentistry - Tampa Y. Pitter: I found this gem while searching online for a dentist for my son and I’m impressed by the quality service. During the initial call to book an appointment, I had a few questions. My questions were addressed with a great deal of patience and professionalism. The office staff members were very helpful during the visit and checking in was a breeze. During the cleaning, the Dental Hygienist took great care to not just clean, but to also educate and provide tips to keep teeth and gums healthy. The dentist was also very caring and welcoming, making my son’s first visit to this office a very pleasant experience. We are so excited to have found this amazing dentistry!
South Tampa Dentistry - Tampa Elizabeth Valentino: Super friendly staff. They are fast and they actually care about you. I had no insurance, good prices and very helpful through the whole process. Doctor Mark was very friendly and talked me thought everything. Jamie was the best she made it a great experience for me even with all the work I had done.
Amberly Family Dentistry - Tampa Lauren Henkle: Let me tell you… this was absolutely the best experience I have ever had in my 34 years of life. I have TERRIBLE trauma with dentists; I have since I was a child, it’s legitimately a crippling fear for me just to walk in to a dentists office. So, listen up, Jose (the receptionist) was so friendly and created a very welcoming entrance, he was kind and personable, sensed my fear and showed me reassurance. Crystal, (my dental assistant) was so sweet to me about my fear and is the reason I wasn’t sobbing like I normally would be. She kept me preoccupied and made me laugh to forget about it. Even temporarily. Dr. Persaud was the most patient dentist I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on my mouth. He was very calm and accepted my anxiety as normal and even found ways to make me laugh. He was so professional and kind and made me forget I was having a tooth removed. Thank you a million Amberly. You just got a lifetime customer out of me. Thank you for giving me the most ideal experience with something as controversial as the dentist. Guys, do not hesitate with this place!!!
Tampa Dentistry - Tampa Des Add: I had a very pleasant first visit with Tampa Dentistry. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. The office is clean which is a major improvement from my prior dentist. I feel confident in their suggestions for my dental plan. I have decided to continue working with them rather than my prior dentist. YOU should go there too! You will be happy with your decision.
Tampa Dental - Tampa Eagles Doobies: Incredible group of professionals! Dr. Nick Kavouklis and Melissa were awesome. Both were knowledgeable, patient and thorough in their explanations. Also kept the mood lighthearted and positive. No one likes going to see a dentist (nothing personal!) but they made the experience as great as could be expected. Wonderful group!!! Highly recommend!!
New Tampa Smiles - Tampa Mercedes Kedjora: I moved and needed a new dentist. I have had bad experiences in the past but everyone in this office made me feel comfortable almost like family. The Doctor listened to my concerns made his recommendations while taking into account what I was looking for. We definitely recommend to others.
New Tampa Dental - Tampa Srilatha Rao: Highly recommend! Dr. Macy is a perfectionist. Loved her work on my root canal treatments. . She and Ms Amelia has a way of making your visit comfortable and stress free.
Tampa Bay Smile Makers - Tampa Priscilla Rozzo: Well, I live over an hour from my favorite Dentist, Mr. Dotson. I’ve been seeing him and his talented and friendly staff for 14 years since I moved here. Now that he has moved to a new place, which is also very friendly I’ll still be going there for my appointments!!
Love the new place and his assistant she is the best.
Everyone needs to come here for their appts.
Heights Dental Tampa - Tampa Kristen Bouchard: I visited Heights Dental last fall and have been meaning to leave this review ever since, mainly to encourage future patients to be cautious and trust their instincts.
I’ve been to Heights Dental twice over the last few years and honestly, I’m surprised by the high ratings. My last visit left me feeling uneasy and felt like I couldn’t trust their care.
I scheduled a special appointment due to a sharp pain in an upper tooth when biting down over a few weeks that wasnt going away. By the time I was seen, the pain had eased a bit, but I still wanted it checked out. After X-rays were taken, the dentist came in for a very brief exam—he didn’t show me the X-ray, didn’t explain much, and quickly recommended a crown due to a “crack” on an existing filling. He was in the room for about a minute before suggesting he could start the crown immediately. It all felt rushed and impersonal, and I didn’t feel confident in the diagnosis—especially since there was no visible evidence of damage or sensitivity during the exam. Plus, crowns are expensive.
As I was leaving, I asked the hygienist if I could see the X-ray. He showed it to me, but offered little explanation—and honestly, I didn’t see anything alarming. The lack of communication and transparency was still a red flag for me.
I ended up seeking a second opinion elsewhere. That dentist reviewed everything thoroughly, walked me through my X-rays, and disagreed with the need for a crown. She also asked about my medical history and pointed out that my symptoms could be related to a known autoimmune condition I have. She encouraged me to follow up with my medical team instead of moving forward with invasive dental work. That’s the level of care and thoughtfulness I expect from a provider.
To be fair, the front desk staff at Heights Dental were always kind and friendly. But both times I visited, communication with the hygienist felt limited, and the dentist’s approach didn’t inspire trust. I’ve since found a dental office that takes time to listen, explain, and build trust, which has made a world of difference.
Just a heads up to current and future patients: trust your gut and seek a second opinion if something doesn’t feel right.
