5 /5 Ray: I haven’t been able to afford dental care for years, I was in extreme pain with a tooth that broke in half, and 2 cavities as well. The anxiety of having gaping holes in my teeth really drove me a little crazy. I coincidentally went to the Flagler County Free Clinic on the day they re-opened their dental program. They collected my information and I had an appointment scheduled a couple weeks out, which is amazing considering how many people just don’t have healthcare right now.
I was lucky enough to get a very kind dentist named Dr. Frankel. He talked me through everything and it was apparent from the start that his number one priority was to make sure I was not in pain. In the end, my broken tooth was too badly damaged and needed to be extracted. That’s never a fun thing, but Dr. Frankel and his assistant (she was very sweet too, but her name escapes me) made sure I was as comfortable as possible during the procedure. It was a challenging extraction because of how much of my tooth had broken, but it got done without complications. My face is still numb from the anesthetic as I type this review, but I’m so relieved already.
RELIEF! Anyone with serious dental pain will tell you, it’s one of the most unrelenting and agonizing types of pain there is. Flagler County Free Clinic took my pain away and gave me relief from the anxiety it caused. I am so thankful that I am at a loss for words. The kind people there are (mostly) volunteers and it can’t be stated enough how generous they are that GIVE US their time to take care of us. Thank you so much.
