5 /5 Irina Egorova: Best doctor ever!! My entire pregnancy was so smooth and happy because of doctor Peterson and his staff! The most professional, able and caring doctor Ive been to. He takes his time to explain everything and actually listens to your concerns. I trust him completely for all my obgyn needs. The office personnel are very helpful and easy to talk to. The nurse are the best, she knows their patients very well. I only have good things to say about him and his practice! Plus he is an amazing human being with a huge heart!!!

1 /5 Nicole Lee: BEWARE! Im sure there are hundreds of women who have had positive experiences with Dr. Peterson, as he came recommended by almost everyone I asked. I honestly dont know why! He was aloof and seemed uncaring at almost every visit, but he was "the best on the island," so I went with him As my OB. About 2 months before my due date, I developed a hard spot in my breast. I told Dr. Peterson about it and his reply was "Its your milk coming in." He didnt look at the lump or even touch it! As a first time mom, I figured the "best doctor" knew what he was talking about. At each consequent visit for 2 months, I mentioned it to the doctor and nurse, and always got the same response. A few weeks before giving birth, I awoke with a terrible pain in my side. After a visit from EMS, I decided to forego the ER (pain had subsided) and call Dr. Peterson the next day. I was told it was the positioning of the baby. Fast forward... I gave birth, but still had the lump in my breast and pain in my side. For 2 days, the pain continued until at the urging of the neonatal nurse, an ultrasound was ordered. After a battery of scans, it was discovered that the lump in my breast was breast cancer that had metastasized to my liver, spine, and hip. The only thing I can remember Dr. Peterson (who became very caring at that point) saying was "Pregnant women dont get cancer." over and over. Well obviously they do, and after doing research, I read 1 in 3000 are diagnosed. It wouldve taken a few minutes, if not seconds, to check the lump. I dont know what would have been done differently and how it would have affected my pregnancy, but I do think that had Dr. Peterson showed even a little bit of concern, the cancer could have been found earlier and perhaps not have spread. Over a year later, I am still undergoing treatment for the cancer that has now spread to my brain. I realize mine is a special case that most women will not experience, but if you are looking for a doctor who will listen to and respond to your concerns, seek another doctor!

5 /5 Laura Arocho: BEST OFFICE IN FLORIDA! Guys, I live in Orlando and I personally find it beyond worth it to hop in a car and drive 7 hours for their services. The office is always so clean (especially now during COVID). I see them sanitize everything between patients. Also, Dr. Peterson is groundbreaking! Im serious!! Hes honest and explains your concerns thoroughly. Not to mention he is funny and doesnt push treatments and services for profit. He will give you his true opinion 100% of the times, all while making you comfortable and relaxed. The staff is very friendly and always welcome me with a warm smile. If your considering this office, stop waisting your time and call for an appointment.

5 /5 MsAWalker1: I had my first child with Dr. P and he was excellent. He was honest and forth coming the entire time and answered all the questions I had. He is very funny and like I said honest, some people may not appreciate how honest he is (so i have been told) but I wold rather my doctor be honest and tell me how it is rather than spare my feelings and be a pushover. I ended up having my child at 27 weeks and he took all the necessary precautions before delivery and after. He always checked up on us and the baby, keeping contact with Miami Childrens where my baby was air lifted. I would recommend him to anyone.

Lower Keys Medical Center - Emergency Room - Key West Madisson Gouveia: As other reviews mention, the stuff at LKMC ER are absolutely fantastic. I went in feeling awful, in so much pain. They helped me quickly and gave me the best care to get to back on my feet. Finding yourself in the ER is never pleasant, but they made it so comfortable for me. I don’t remember my triage nurse’s name who gave me a warm blanket and a quick check in, but I appreciate her. I also don’t remember my two sweet nurses names, but they were wonderful. I only remember Dr Caleb’s name who was professional, efficient, straight forward and kind. They all were. I am very appreciative!

Lower Keys Medical Center - DePoo Medical Building - Key West Scott Smith: Wow! Great hospital. While visiting Key West, one of our family members had a new heart arrhythmia. The ED got her straight back, immediate care. The doctor explained everything very well and the therapy worked. Nursing staff was friendly and caring. We were in and out in less than 2 hours! Grateful for the care.

Wagstaff Brian MD - Key West Steven iliff: Doctor Wagstaff is not just a Doctor, and he is knowledgeable doctor, he is a Gentleman. And, I mean that as to the literal meaning of the word. Dr. Wagstaff does not have any electronic devices as he pulls up a chair and talks to you, and more importantly, he asks questions and listens. Friendly, gentle and soft spoken, his bedside manner lends itself to healing already, because one feels as though he actually cares. And, that. does. matter. Went in today with some concerns, and left with less concerns. That’s all we can ask for sometimes. But, he did let me rage on about these GI issues he knows I’ve been dealing with for over 2 years. He knows I’m a Veteran here in Key West with little resources, and does his best to help me, even if that means simply listening and advising. Doctor Wagstaff has been my Primary Care for years now. He once sent me to the ER with just a swollen calf. It was a blood clot. He is a good doctor, and a good human too. Glad he’s here.

Keys Medical Group - Key West Eric Barenz: I made Keys Medical Group, Dr Dell’Api in Big Pine my primary care physician after I moved to Big Pine last year. It made sense because his office is 0.2 miles from my home. I really like Dr Dell’Api, but I’ve only been able to see Dr Dell’Api once. Three times I’ve had to drive 27 miles(54 miles round trip)to Key West and I have seen a different doctor each time or wait over a month for an appointment in Big Pine. Yesterday(12/2/24) scheduled an appointment online for today(12/3/24) at 2:45pm. I fought traffic and drove to Key West just to be told the appointment I scheduled for today was unavailable and the next available appointment is tomorrow(12/4/24) at 2pm. I was told they have been trying to contact me to inform me of the cancellation and need to reschedule. I have one missed call from Keys Medical Group and it was today at 2:45! I don’t have a choice but to fight traffic again tomorrow and waste fuel driving 54 miles. I moved to Key West in 2009 and I love living in the lower keys except for the lack of good medical care. I have to drive to Ft Lauderdale every 28 days to see my pain management doctor because there are no pain management physicians in the keys. I see there are more negative reviews for Keys Medical Group than positive and most related to scheduling. If this was Miami, Orlando, or St Petersburg this practice would either have to correct their issues or close up. Living at the end of the world’s longest dead end road and not having enough medical care facilities allows them to continue their subpar treatment of their paying patients.

Atilla Mehmet A MD - Key West Samantha Coughlin: Dr Atilla was the attending physician at Lower Keys Medical Center when my son had emergency surgery. My insurance pays with no patient responsibility if billed correctly. I never received a single bill from this doctor until 8 months later when I received a bill from a collections agency. It’s quite ridiculous to not reach out to the patient regarding any money owed before sending it to collections. If they had billed my insurance correctly, I wouldn’t have had any outstanding balance. I could have resolved the issue months ago had they made me aware of the balance. Dr. Atilla’s bedside manner was great, but dealing with a collections agency now, at no fault of my own, is very frustrating.
