1 /5 monica boas: If I could leave 0 I would this place is awful there is no communication professionally with most of the staff only personal and they put their personal lives first no one is doing their jobs Ive had two tests done that I didnt even know I was getting with no results in 24 hours with our being able to eat there are literally three staff members standing at the nurses station as I write this and my call button has been flashing for 15 mins. Being admitted from the ER for over night we have been placed in what I can best describe as cubicles with a shower curtain door. They have missed my antibiotics on 4 different occasions and Ive only been here 2 days.

5 /5 Jeremy Souders: I had what appeared to be a heart attack 14 days ago. I went to the local a few tests were ran and i was released. I kept telling them they missed something. They were wrong. I put my life in the hands of halifax medical center in deltona. I am 3rd generation to trust them and just as they saved my gramma my mother and now they have saved me. They ran multible mri and scans and couldnt find anything but i tild them theres something wrong and instead of dismissing me they did more testing only to findnthat the disks in my kneck arenpushing into my aorta. And i could of pierced it and died. The staff here especially the RNs are to me the greatest team ive ever been treated by. They are kind,listen and extremely tentative to our needs. They are on time and assist us in the best way RNs were meant to treat us like decent human beings. Im not just a number here. I am human and cared for above and beyond any where ive been. Thank you to all the staff from the food lady to the lady who cleans our rooms to the doctors and specialists. To the nurses an extra big thank you for your care and respect you show us. We are one with needs but you superstars care for multiples at once. Thank you all. Theres no other team i would rather treat me and my family. Keep up the outstanding work.

4 /5 jmarasco16: I came here in severe distress. I had sat in the ER waiting room at Fish for an hour struggling to breathe. I was 6 days post op. This hospital treated me like I should have been treated at Fish. Xray was done asap, then a CT with IV contrast. Imaging revealed MULTIPLE PULMONARY EMBOLISMS and excessive trapped gas from my surgery. I was admitted and started on blood thinners. There were 3 people in the ER who were absolute super stars. Stacey in triage was very concerned with me and even came to check on me the next morning. Very sweet. My night nurse, Justin, was just stellar. Great level of care, very sweet guy. Danielle my day nurse in the ER was superb! Very knowledgeable and extremely sweet. Once they had a bed available and I was moved to med surg, my nurse Kelly greeted me. She took fantastic care of me. I had a severe episode in her care where I could barely breathe and she got everyone needed quickly and I was taken care of. These people I mentioned provided a level of care no one else in the hospital provided me. I had a couple nurses during my stay that I was not a fan of. Its amazing the different levels of care you get between them. You would think it would be pretty uniform. I feel the pulmonologist should have been called to see me sooner than she was. They waited 48 hours to call her in. I ended up also having pleurisy, the bottoms of my lungs collapsed and I got a mild case of pneumonia. All of my issues could have been prevented had my surgeon done due diligence. Also, there was a nurse working my last night there that was brought in. He said hes an ICU nurse. His name is Luis. He was terrible. Id recommend not using him. If you dont like your job, please find something else. Patients need people who care.

AdventHealth Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach John Sassano: I’m a Surgeon, Anesthesiologist and trained critical care physician for over 40 years. I came to this hospital about 12:30 pm and was taken to the cardiac floor by around 3pm. The medical director introduced himself to me and asked me to photograph his ID badge so that I would remember his name. On the floor multiple blood samples were taken and multiple EKGs were taken. No one told me what the results of any of these were. When I asked, I was told that I could get it off the iPad that was never supplied to me, when I got on the floor. I am in a room that has a light switch that I cannot reach and the room has no bathroom in it. The hospital is filthy, disorganized, and definitely Third World. When I asked to speak to the nursing supervisor, I asked for her name and then asked if I could take a picture of her ID, as I had the doctor in the ER and she willingly placed her hospital issued ID on the bed and I took a picture of it. Within 30 minutes two armed officers were up in my room and demanded that I delete the picture from my phone. I hope everyone reads this and comments. I have still not received any of my regular medication’s, including heart medication, blood thinners, and painkillers since I’ve been here which is now 12 hours. What a mistake. Halifax is a far superior hospital. I

Halifax Health Medical Center: Emergency Room - Daytona Beach Denise Nelson: They should NO stars!!!! My son was hurt and we waited almost 2 hrs. No one came out to even look at him. Truly Terrible place!!!! Others came in with far worse issues and got no help. Honestly not sure what people are working here for. Most of them seem to be having personal conversations or just playing on their phone. No passion for health care or taking care of people. This place really needs something done. For treating a child like that CPS should get involved for not helping and letting him sit in pain. As a mom I kept asking when can they see him and they would just tell me too wait and go back on there phone. Very disappointing experience.

Volusia Medical Center - New Smyrna Beach Victoria Rose Torres: Was super excited to see a doctor here. I was late for my appointment and missed that opportunity. However, I called 15 min before my appointment time and sat on hold while my ETA from my home was 40 minutes and grew from 5 ..10...12 minutes late. I was on hold for about 10 minutes. I gave up at that point and kept driving. Checked in about 14 minutes late in the office. I was told on site I need to reschedule and wouldve been told to reschedule if I had gotten someone on the phone when I called (LOL). I sure wouldve like to been told that if I had gotten someone on the phone :)

Volusia Health Network - Daytona Beach madison nicole: This has got to me the worst insurance ever. Nothing is ever covered even if you go to an in network provider on their “list”!! Be prepared to pay everything out of pocket on top of what they take out per paycheck. Absolutely ridiculous

She is thorough, patient,intelligent, friendly and has properly diagnosed every problem we have brought her. In my 80 years she stands out as the best PCP I have encountered. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring conscientious physician. Ron - November 03, 2023

Halifax Hospital Professional Building - Daytona Beach Nicholas Russ: This was the best choice I ever made!! I was terrified at Quest for bloodwork so I called Halifax. They took my insurance, Gluede or Julie (not sure the name but she wore a hijab), was super kind! I’m terrified of needles, and I didn’t even know I took blood until it was done, she told me later I was done. Amazing experience!!

Select Specialty Hospital - Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach Laura Garand: This place is amazing with an amazing staff! For the past 15 years I’ve taken care of people in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, ALFs, and memory care. Select Specialty is not like any of these. The patient gets the best care possible meaning constant attention from staff. My gratitude goes to Ismael and Mary (PT/OT). They treated my loved one with with smiles, encouragement and good pep talks. The Dietician Anne stops in every day and is so accommodating. She always had a smile and and is a good listener. The Respiratory Tech John comes in daily and has such a great attitude. He loves his job and his patients. I also want to give special mention and thanks to James the Charge Nurse and CNAs: Chito, Betzy and Nurses:Alexis, Jamie,Juan,and Jimuel. Of course I want to thank Chuck(Director) and Rob (CEO) both of these men are always available and walk the halls with smiles.

Signature Healthcare of Volusia - South Daytona Karen Milano: Dr. Mercer has been my doctor since 2011. I have a lot of complex medical conditions and I really needed a doctor that I could trust and depend on. I have had many admits to the hospital and he has been there everyday, attending to me. He answers every call I make to him and always explains everything to me. He truly is exceptional! In addition, he has the best staff. They are always on the ball and handle everything promptly. Truly wonderful ! Thank you to all of you !

OBGYN Health Center - Daytona Beach Cole Devlin: The ladies who work the front desk are always miserable. My wife commutes 2 hours to receive exceptional care from the doctors on sight but without fail, she is always greeted by rude and sarcastic remarks made by the staff behind the desk. Everyone has a bad day, but EVERY single appointment starts and ends with the poor attitudes of the ladies up front and it always leaves a terrible taste in our mouths when we leave. Abysmal customer service and care.

Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial: Rosenberg David C MD - Ormond Beach Cheryl Sorrill: I was recently at Ormond Memorial after going into Afib. I was admitted to the 3rd floor and under went several heart tests. I was so impressed with my nursing and lab staff. Their kindness and empathy was phenomenal!! I have been in numerous hospitals over my 62 years and must say that this team was by far the best. It wasn’t just one particular nurse, the whole team were professional and kind! Their willingness to help in any way was so appreciated! A big shout out to Kat, Sindu, Alyssa, Shelly, Joy, Wilma, Alexis (lab) and I’m sorry I didn’t get some of the others names, but you know who you are. All of you need to be recognized for a job well done. And a big Thank you to Dr. Kazie and the charge nurse who stood up for me in a difficult and upsetting situation.
