I have had many admits to the hospital and he has been there everyday, attending to me. He answers every call I make to him and always explains everything to me. He truly is exceptional! In addition, he has the best staff. They are always on the ball and handle everything promptly. Truly wonderful ! Thank you to all of you !

Dr Mercer takes the time to explain his observations and diagnosis in a way that you can understand . He educates and motivates you to reach your optimum health. A rarity. His faith in God is present from the moment you walk in! I would recommend him without any reservations. He is one of the best physicians we have in the area. His staff is pleasant too! Dr. Mercer & his staff have given me excellent care from the moment we began our patient-/doctor relationship. 5 /5 Melissa McCullough: Dr. Mercer is the most caring doctor I have ever met. My job forces me to be around physicians on a continuous basis. Dr. Mercer TRULY looks out for the patient and will find a solution if he does not know something right away. He is professional and takes every opportunity to educate me as the patient; and not in a condescending way, but in a way that makes me feel PART of the process and not just a spectator.. I would also be remiss if I did not mention that due to an injury and recovery from a surgery, where my ability to drive was temporarily limited - Dr. Mercer (after discussion of medications that I needed) DROVE/TOOK my prescription to my regular pharmacist and dropped them off for my husband to retrieve later. Simply caring - simply tremendous - simply gracious.

Never have I found any of them who could match Dr. Mercers professionalism, wisdom, and personalized care. He is extremely intelligent and his staff reflects his attention to detail and general competence. Dr Mercers availability by phone at all hours of day or night makes him a rare treasure for anyone with a medical issue.

He is a gifted surgeon with a calm, caring, compassionate demeanor that made me feel comfortable and knowledgeable about my condition. He took the time to answer all my questions and talk to me at length about the surgery and possible outcomes. All of my symptoms are gone since Dr. Han did my surgery- a total success! Autumn Hale: Julian Johnson is probably the most caring and thorough doctor I had found in South Daytona for my husband. Sad that he left the area but after searching online, it looks like he has moved to New Smyrna at 101 Causeway. I saw prior reviews for him and people wondering where he went and after searching that is the location as of Sept 2024. Its very sad that doctors nowadays are rude and are scheduling so many appts in one day that they cant take the time their patients need to discuss their issues. Dr Johnson was very nice, empathetic, and took the time to address all issues.

Erin S: Their front desk scheduling folks are extremely unhelpful and disrespectful. I called in today to see what were the needed items to put together an appointment for my fathers referral for vascular surgery along with understanding the rough timeline to when an actual appointment could be scheduled after reviewing his imaging reports & his referral notes. I understood that there are specific policies and procedures that UoF has to take and implement. There are policies and procedures that almost all companies must take. However, I did not appreciate their lack of concern and urgency. Along with that, I did not appreciate that the front desk/nurse kept repeating the policies and procedures, which felt like I was being talked down upon for not "understanding". This lack of basic human empathy and concern is disgusting and clearly should not be represented in a space that is meant for people to come to for help.

Paul LaFiosca: Excellent care from an Excellent Dr. and just as Excellent staff. Dr.James Brown has been my primary Dr. for more years than I can recall, 20+years? He, and his staff, are the very best that I’ve ever experienced & I am Old. Dr. Brown is exceptionally smart and easy to talk to, I’ve never been rushed through my appointment and he always, with his fantastic staff, make sure that I am well taken care of. They all, as a team, make sure my scripts are filled, referrals taken care of, etc. Dr.Brown & Staff are the reason I drive over 35 miles each way for my appointments. I wouldn’t be doing that if I had any negative experiences. The BEST Dr. and BEST Staff anywhere, I am surely grateful to cared for by them, 100%!!! ~~~~~ I posted the above a while ago, not sure of the exact date. I just saw Dr.Brown Friday 3/14/2025 and my thoughts are still the same, what I wrote previously is what I would write about my most recent visit to Dr.Brown & his staff. They are all excellent! I spent about 45 minutes with Dr. Brown as he went over every lab result where, I think, some Dr.s might try to save time by just saying ‘got your lab results, they’re fine’ and that would be that. Dr.Brown doesn’t rush you, explains everything, asks if I have anything new that needs his attention. He is, in my many many years of seeing many Dr.s in my lifetime, he is still the absolute best, without a doubt. The same with the staff, all of them from front office to nurses & etc., are all very nice, know what they are doing, set up future appointments ——- they are all excellent healthcare people. Dr. Brown & his staff just can’t be beat, there are none better!!!!!
