I called to inquire about the cost of checking out my daughters car as we were told by another shop it needed a new transmission and the cost would exceed the value of her car. He got us in right away and indicated there would be no cost to get an estimate. We dropped off the vehicle and he called to ask a few questions later in the day. At that point, he wasnt seeing indicators that it needed a new transmission, but he wanted to get it lifted and check it out more thoroughly. He kept it and called me early the next morning to give me a report. The car had an excessive amount of fluid and he corrected that and made sure the transmission fluid levels were appropriate and test drove the vehicle multiple times. He stated that he did not find that it needed a new transmission and if it was him, he would drive the car and return if any issues came up. Hearing him state he would drive it gave me a lot of peace of mind and I felt confident that my daughter would cruise safely into her senior year. We picked up the car and he did not charge me for any of the work he did, not even for correcting the fluid issue. I was blown away by this gesture! My daughter has since said her car feels better than it did when shes driving it and our fingers are crossed that the issue was the excessive fluid. Meanwhile, if and when it does show indicators of transmission issues, we will not hesitate to return to Haseleus for service. Theyve gained a life-long customer for their excellent customer service and I will 10/10 recommend Mike and his transmission shop to anyone seeking out transmission service.
