5 /5 Michaela Leary: Although of course I did not want to be here, Nicole made my stay as best as possible. She was so informative, caring, and knowledgeable. I felt extremely well taken care of by her and the rest of the team. I was very upset and in pain and she helped me every step of the way. Honestly everyone was so great. Great bedside manner by everyone. Clear communication on everything that had to be done to help me. The entire hospital has done an amazing job on staffing employees that genuinely want to help and do their best. Thank you!!!

5 /5 Fluffy Cactus: This was my first time at the ER in 16 years, and I was kinda nervous. Staff was all awesome, and I can’t get over how smoothly my visit went. Arrived at about 9:30am, got my CAT scans back at 11:30pm with an appendicitis diagnosis. They got me into an OR within an hour from the scans, and I was discharged with a successful appendectomy at roughly 3:30. I wasn’t even expecting to be in an OR by 3:30! I’d like to emphasize again how kind and informative everyone from security/booking, from nursing, from scanning, and especially from anesthesia and my operating doctor were, and all were gracious in putting up with my dumb jokes. All around as good an experience as one could have while your appendix is on the verge of exploding inside of you!

3 /5 Summer: Giving three stars for the good experiences I did have here with caring nurses and doctors that took my issue seriously and gave me great care. Tonight, the triage nurse, Rose was rude and seemed to be dismissive to how serious my issue was. we waited a total of 3 hours, with one hour of the waiting room being empty. We have never waited this long with such an empty waiting room. I once loved this hospital but i am extremely disappointed in the way i was treated, the way my problem was treated, and the attitude or the triage nurse. I am extremely disappointed.

2 /5 Detroit Q: 2 stars for the nurses....Aside from the friendly nurses who were doing their best to handle the overflow of patients, this ER is The ABSOLUTE WORST Ive ever been admitted to! They had patients lined up against the walls in the hallways. No pillows, some of us were on hard stretchers, even my nurse complained about mine being a bad bed as she struggled to push me to x-ray and back. I got to the ER before 11am and was still in the hall at 9p and was told there was no guarantee that I wouldnt be sleeping in the hallway all night because they had to save beds for triage. What? I was ambulatory and NEVER saw the inside of a room for triage, they took me straight to hallway F and left me there! I was sent by ambulance from the VA and came in with chest and back pain and extreme exhaustion and I am a prior quadruple bypass surgery patient and veteran!!! ( Which the cardiologist basically ignored because he had other things to do and was rushing out. I felt so devalued and unheard) This is how I was treated and no one with any authority apologized or tried to make it right, but had NO trouble listing me as AMA when I told them I was experiencing anxiety and could not sleep in a hallway all night and needed to check myself out. They basically pushed me out the door after that. And on the way, what did I see? Empty rooms!!!! I am so very disappointed in this hospital and experience! I will never return and I will be speaking to the VA about the billing... because the hospital doesnt deserve a dime!

1 /5 Jenna Smith: Went to ER for severe PTSD and headche and vision problems. Was given medications which I asked the nurse if they were safe for cardiac patients. She went and spoke with NP assigned to case. She returned and said yes you will be fine, and it would help symptoms. I went ahead and took two of the three meds. I started having weird side effects, but was guaranteed that it was completely safe for me. I asked for the doctor because I felt weird. She came and told me this was the gold standard meds for concussion patients. The meds given did not help, and I ended up calling my PCM nurse whom confirmed to absolutely not take the meds because they could cause my cardiac issues and my blood pressure go through the roof. I am glad I trusted my gut. It seems like they just give anxiety and depression diagnosis for any middle aged woman who walks in there with Cardiac concerns.
