My husband and I drove to Pensacola from Mississippi just for the day with our boys (16 & 12), and wanted to see some of the history in this very old city. Carlee was kind and informative. This was well worth the $12 per adult and $6 for my youngest. Even the boys enjoyed themselves and learned some stuff in the process. I would definitely recommend taking this tour if you’re in the area.

She made the tour very interesting and engaging for everyone. She never failed to make us laugh! We learned so much about the vast history of the area. Great for families and kids as well!

5 /5 Lauri B: 3/27/2025: This was my favorite part of the historical tour downtown. This piece is a guided tour. Aiden was very detailed and had a full knowledge of the history of Pensacola. We started in a home built in 1805, then went to the oldest church in Florida built in 1832, then saw 2 additional homes. One was from 1871 and the other from 1890. I don’t want to give too much away in my review, so the best thing I can suggest is to not miss this part! When Aiden detailed the past for us, he used words as current descriptions and like he was the one who was performing the daily tasks. It was a nice touch. To see how people lived long ago is amazing. When you walk into the area of the first home, you’ll see a woman tending the garden, a man wood working, a woman playing the flute, and another woman playing the violin. It was like a little play. I’ve been vacationing in Pensacola since 1975 when I was 2 months old. I love the beach but this is the first time I saw the history it holds. Very impressed. The guided tour takes about an hour. You can only see these homes and the church by purchasing a ticket for the tour. It’s a bundle ticket that also gets you into the self guided museums. $12 for adults. Highly recommend!

The Graffiti Bridge - Pensacola Beth De la Torre: Really neat idea. Enjoy just observing artwork and messages or add your own as well! Gravel parking for maybe up to 20 cars. Just to be aware, not a smooth surface, but a natural pebble and rock walking surface.

Go Retro - Pensacola Becky Hildebrand: Terry was our guide and knew more about Pensacola than I did and hes not even from here. I went with a group of friends from work and we all enjoyed it. We did the Red Light District Tour which was super interesting. Our only advise would be to remove some of the racier parts of the video. Were no prudes, just a bit much & not necessary for the tour. Tour was a lot of fun and we all want to do another one! Great time.

Pensacola Childrens Museum - Pensacola Explore With Us Reviews: My family visited the Pensacola Children’s Museum on April 8, 2025. My kids had an absolute blast and did I honestly. They have a small Publix grocery store which we all were enjoying ourselves before having to visit the small doctors office and laboratory on the second floor. On the first floor you will have a small fort, trading post, and little cottage. Definitely a great place for kids to explore and it’s relatively cheap entertainment for the kids and even better the museum tickets are good for 7 days for all museums.

Palafox Street Downtown Pensacola - Pensacola Stephen Posey: By sheer dumb luck my first visit to Pensacola was on Saturday when theres a multi-block crafts/food market. Lots of buskers, too. I began walking into town from the pier just to find breakfast, but I wound up spending the entire morning and early afternoon on Palafox! Lots of bike racks, benches for sitting, and most important --- TREE COVER!

The Quina House Museum - Pensacola Christy B: I was so humbled to hear my family history, and this is where my fathers family started and heard from my father growing up ,and telling our guide what my father told me to hear more about it . That my family was great friends with the Native Americans.And to visit with my cousins was awesome too. And to sign to book of who you are and so this is my family. And that the row how houses next to it was my family too. This is a must to see . After seeing the house and walking down the street, you feel like youre back in time.

Pensacola Aviation Discovery Park - Pensacola Jim D: This park is a great place to watch planes. It is located at the crossroads of both runways making for a good vantage of all aircraft movements. The elevated viewing platform allows for an unobstructed view of the action. There is plenty of shade and playground equipment to keep everyone entertained. The only drawback is parking is difficult. The parking lot was filled and we were the only people in the park, appears the nearby flight school has overtaken the parking.

Pensacola MESS Hall - Pensacola Wilton Strahan: The Pensacola MESS Hall is a fun, hands-on science museum perfect for kids and families. With interactive experiments in math, engineering, and science, it encourages learning through play. Friendly staff and creative activities make it a great stop, though older kids may want more advanced challenges.

Museum of Commerce - Pensacola Tim: Have the museum rented for a welcome dinner forecourt car show. Interior of museum is set up like an old town. Outside is historic Pensacola with folks dressed in period clothing. Highly recommend visiting.

Crystal Ice House - Pensacola Dear India Rose: A glimpse into what life was like for Floridians before people had home refrigeration and air conditioning. The ice house would sell blocks of ice to locals back in the 30s. The purchase was made through hand gestures, holding up fingers to suggest how much ice you wished to purchase. The hand signals are engraved into the stucco wall above the door. Unfortunately, there appears to be some deterioration to this building and it is fenced off with a chain link fence. Still worth a visit

Dorr House - Pensacola Dr. Rosie Ann Riley: This house was built in 1871 by Mrs. Dorr after her husband and eldest son died in 1871. What I thought was very interesting was the photo designed with the hair of a dead loved one. This was common during this era. We were told that the kitchen and boys bedroom had been modernized because someone involved with house wanted to live in it. I forgot who and details. So we only saw sitting room, dining room and 2 bedrooms upstairs. The young woman who gave tour is also at the Museum of Agriculture. She is wearing dress from early 1800’s. This is a guided tour so go to Museum of Agriculture to find out times. We toured the church at 1pm then went to house after. I recommend visiting this house if in the area and like learning about Victorian era.
