From the moment he answered the phone to the moment we completed our transaction, I felt like my daughter’s car was in the best possible hands. This journey began because my daughter had just graduated from FSU and was preparing for a long drive back to Colorado. We initially took her car to another shop for a check-up but felt like we were getting the runaround. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion at Import Authority and we are so lucky we did! Not only was the repair quote significantly lower than the first shop’s, but when another issue came up, we had full confidence that Chip and his team would handle it with integrity and skill. In the end, we paid less than the original estimate from the first shop and received even more service. Most importantly, we left with real peace of mind, knowing that her vehicle was thoroughly and honestly taken care of. Their prices are competitive, but their service is what truly sets them apart. 5 /5 Robert Sellers: Major Service and problems resolved I’ve got a 2007 Toyota 4Runner with an 187k miles and knew I was due for a timing belt and water pump and a bunch of other service items. Just before bringing it in for that, I had a bunch of warning lights go on on the dash. Clint kept me informed all along the way, including the discovery of critters that had chewed some of the wiring. They fixed everything, trucks running great and I’ve found my independent auto repair shop for my Toyotas going forward. Thanks guys.

5 /5 Eryn Hartdegen: I was recommended to these guys by an attorney I work for. I’m not from Tallahassee and I’m a girl that knows nothing about cars, so I really needed an honest mechanic. They got me in very quickly the day before I had to leave the country for a week, got my car fixed in a day, and even let me keep it there until I got back into town. Will definitely be seeing them again!

2 /5 Rakesh S: This place is good for more silver hair folks who cannot see the difference between right and overprice. They charged me $550 for a transmission fluid change that at a dealership is done for $150. They had to find the problem that I was describing for an hour, which you would think an experienced auto place with smart tech will know in a few. They did charge separately $300 to diagnose the problem and confirm the problem does not exist. I would not recommend this place if you want to save those hard earned money. There are better auto repair shops in town.

5 /5 Charles Catanzaro: I have a 1993 Lexus ES 300. Import Authority has been caring for it from the beginning. Theyve kept it running for 30 years. At one point I needed work done on the front end. A time later, the part failed. I had forgotten about that repair. IA told me it was still under warranty. They fixed the problem, no fuss. My battery recently died. I had forgotten when IA had installed it. Once again, IA told me about the warranty. The car could use work now, simply as a matter of age. Its still safe to drive. IA advised me that it wasnt worth it. I trust IA absolutely and attach no limitation to my endorsement of their work nor my recommendation that anyone w. an Asian car take it to IA for service. In a word - theyre honest and straight shooters.
