1 /5 Kristin Feldhaus: My daughter took her fiance here. We came to the ER because it was an emergency. Her fiance was crying out in pain and holding his wound, they made them go to sign in and he couldnt respond to the questions because of his severe pain levels and the woman at the front desk pointed at the officer next to her and threatened to kick them out. My daughter finished answering the information & signed for him. They were then told to sit & wait. After 15 minutes passed of him sitting there in pain, my daughter walked up to the nurse sitting by the door and asked if there was anyway he could possibly be seen sooner, he responded that they were "cleaning his bed" & it would be a minute. After 10 minutes passed another male nurse called his name and my daughter went back with him. They sat them in a room with several patients and nurse after nurse walked by them without acknowledging them. Finally my daughter spoke up again and asked to be seen. A male nurse then looked at her fiance and asked his name & what was going on. Trough tears he tried to explain the issue & even told the nurse how he had taken tylenol all morning and nothing was helping. The male nurse then yelled to a female nurse "We need poison control here now." My daughters fiance then told him he just wanted his wound assessed please, and the male nurse responded "Do you have a medical degree or do I?". Frustrated my daughter then asked if they would please help him, the male nurse then said they would assess the wound after poison control looked at him or they will call security. My daughter then got up and took her fiance to another ER where they immediately assessed his wound and he was better within 30 minutes. I dont understand why anyone would want to work in a hospital if they dont want to help people, but these staff members were extremley unprofessional & Im very dissapointed in the way they treat patients.
