1 /5 Rachael Favors: After going into anaphylaxis shock, I found myself in the hospital. I was told I had a possible carcinoid tumor in my mesenteric lining. I had a PET scan and was referred to Dr. Parker, I explained my current issues and what led me to having an anaphylaxis shock. He performed my surgery and never biopsies the right tumor. Additionally, he partially removed a large tumor, but left several more. I had no pictures except the one that he took on his cell phone of the partially removed tumor. Dr. Parker told me when I couldnt defecate anymore to request an emergency surgery (with no photos or proper documentation). My GI doctor said I was still flagged for having cancer. Then my prior symptoms arose again and became increasingly worse. I eventually had to have surgery less than a year later. My new surgeon was in complete disbelief of how I was done. Additionally, I was only provided 2 weeks to return to work by Dr. Parker after a c-section cut and 4 other cuts on my stomach. I know my situation was rare, but pictures should have been on my file not just on his cell phone. Additionally, I was told the tumor that was removed did not show up in images. My new surgeon reviewed the PET scan, and it was there. Disappointed!
